Pet care experience
My family got a dog when I was 7 years old and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve loved every dog I’ve sat for and can’t wait to have one of my own :) I am a writer so I work from home. I always prefer having a dog buddy with me while writing, reading, and going for walks. A typical weekend with your dog would involve long walks, relaxing in the park, and spending time with other dog-friendly friends. Although I would love to have a dog of my own, I expect to move and travel frequently over the next few years. Until then I’d enjoy nothing more than to take great care of your pet :)

I live in a 1-bedroom apartment, so massive dogs will probably not be happy here! But for small and medium dogs, there is plenty of room to roam. Living alone I am able to make the space perfectly pet-friendly. My building is home to several dog-walkers and boarders. I consider myself a bit overprotective when it comes to pets, having been raised in an overprotective pet home. Since I don’t have a yard I’m committed to walks at least three times a day, and am always happy to accommodate a specific pet’s needs.

Please let me know if you’re dog has special needs or requires specific medication. It’s also helpful to know how your pet interacts with other humans and animals, and how long it is comfortable being left on its own. Though I try not to leave pets alone for too long, I do typically go to the gym for about an hour most days. I will do my best to accommodate as necessary!
A typical day
Go for a walk in the morning, then chill out on the couch. Writing and reading leave ample space for petting and play breaks. Around lunchtime another walk, and then in the evening we could walk to the park. Then play with some pet-approved friends.

Availability
I work from home as a writer, so pet care fits in great! I’m an avid walker with and without pets (but with is obviously better). As a former marathon-runner with a very sedentary job, I like to go for walks three times a day. And whenever writer’s block hits there’s nothing better than playing a game with a pup. I live close to several dog parks, and enjoy the opportunity to socialize myself and the dog all at once.
