Pet care experience
I've lived with at least one dog for the majority of my life and finally took the plunge to rescue one in 2020. He's a 3-4 year-old St Bernard/Chow/Lab/Husky mix (named Chili) who was rescued from a reservation. I love to be active and outdoors so having a furry companion makes it that much better. Since rescuing Chili, I've watched other dogs at the same time with zero issues. I've also had to treat a few of Chili's wounds and have supplies to treat basic wounds if needed (I'm a healthcare professional). ***If you're wanting me to house sit, just know that I would need to bring my dog along :) (otherwise he would be left at home alone)

I play with Chili throughout the day and keep my spaces clean to allow for this (currently living in a medium-sized apartment). He sheds here and there so I'm very used to this. I try to brush him every few days and also clean up after him regularly. I'm a very clean, organized person so I would make sure client's homes are left how I found them. I also have a tub with a hand-held shower head in case he (or your dog) needs a rinse.

-Does your dog have any behaviors? Are they reactive? -During walks, how does your dog respond to other dogs being walked? -Does your dog chase squirrels? Cars? -Is your dog protective of their food? -Are they energetic at home? -Are they crate trained? Can they sleep on the floor?
A typical day
I love to walk Chili along the Mississippi River and around the lakes. I also bring him to large dog parks so he can run around, swim, and get lots of exercise.

Availability
I'm currently working 2-3 days per week, 2-5 hours per day (outside the home). I also work a little from home and thus have a lot of flexibility to take Chili outside every few hours. I usually never leave him alone for more than 5 hours and that's typically only 2 days a week. He gets at least 3 walks per day, and most days I'll either take him for a long walk along the river or I'll bring him to the dog park for lots of exercise.
