Pet care experience
I am an animal lover - I grew up with a cat brother for 17 years and he meant so much to me. While living in San Francisco I joined Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue as a foster home for cats awaiting adoption. We fostered 10 different cats and kittens. I tend to have a sweet spot for the shy or troubled cats and they warm up to me quickly. I lived with a 90lb Pitbull for several months at my uncles house and that's where I became a dog lover too, and have had doggie roommates I love many times since. Since 2018 I have been a part of Trusted House Sitters and sat for mostly dogs and some cats around the world. I have administered oral medication to both dogs and cats, as well as cared for other special needs. Please mention any special needs in your request

Becca was great! She jumped in with our fussy dog and our medically-complicated cat with confidence. She asked all the right questions to get prepped and then left our home so tidy for us to return to. Becca is a wise sitter choice!
I loved having Becca house-sit and cat-sit for me! I was away overseas for three weeks and Becca helped really relax being away from my home and cats. She sent me photos and videos every few days and was so great about letting me know how everything was going. She took care of my many house plants and also did some hand watering outside. My cats really loved her too - I had a feeling they would. She even helped me buy another bag of birdfood to refill the birdfood feeders outside because I had forgetten to buy extra. The best part was that when I came back home, my house looked absolutely spotless - just how I had left it. I felt as if I hadn't even left. I was so impressed and grateful for her and I would highly recommend her to watch after your furry little ones while you're away!
Becca stayed with our pup Valentina for nearly 3 weeks while we were in Australia. She went above and beyond, working with our dog trainer to get Valentina comfortable since this was our first time having a dog sitter. Becca sent us pictures of her and Valentina snuggling while we were away and took great care of everything during our trip. She’s a kind person with a natural knack for animals and we are so grateful. Highly recommend!!

In your home I prefer to follow your schedule as much as possible as to be less jarring for the pets, so best to leave detailed directions. For stays longer than a night it's important I have a good wifi connection (cell reception at minimum) so please mention this in your message. My sister is a dog trainer and always a call away if I have any questions as I interact with new dogs.

I love running or walking with dogs (or a mix of both) because they help be my accountability buddy to get me nature time and exercise. I'm also happy to play fetch or tug of war!

Availability
I work remotely for myself so my time is flexible. I've found that pet sitting works super well alongside my online bookkeeping business as it keeps me routinely exercising and I get to keep the pets company, simultaneously. I love having a snoozing pet on my lap while I'm working!
