Dog-loving person & dog in one!
Pet care experience
Myself and my pup Alonzo both love nothing more than meeting new fur friends. I have only lived 4 years of my life without a dog in the house full-time (3 college and 1 grad school). I have always loved taking care of dogs, whether they were mine, a family member's, or a friends. In 2020 I decided to rescue my own puppy and it was the greatest decision I have made. Alonzo is not only an absolute sweetheart and snuggle-bunch, but he is even more obsessed with making dog friends than I am. I have taken care of a variety of dogs for friends and family, from a 10 week old puppy to a 45lb reactive pit bull to a 70lb teddy bear who hates going outside. I am happy to host a puppy and help train and drain their energy, or can keep your older dog happy on the couch all day.
Reviews
Becca walked our dog for a month and was incredibly reliable, communicative, and overall wonderful! Our pup can be a strong puller and Becca did great managing her on a lease and interacting with other pups and people at the dog park. I felt at ease knowing that Becca was taking care of our pup while I was away & would happily book with her again for walking or boarding.
Becca is the best possible person to help take care of your pets! My dog Lola absolutely loves Becca and her sweet dog Alonzo. Your dog will have so much fun staying with them because not only will they get tons of play time, they will also get lots of love and cuddles! Becca is super great at sending pupdates and keeping you updated as often or as little as you want while you’re away. She really understands pets and how to take care of them and make them comfortable so I highly, highly recommend her for your next trip!

Safety, trust & environment
Since I already have a dog, my apartment is set up to allow them to roam wherever in my two-bedroom space they would like. I sometimes call the second bedroom "Alonzo's room", as it is equipped with a crate he often ventures into whenever I'm gone (or just for a nap) and dog toys galore. If you would like me to crate your dog, you are welcome to bring your own which can be put in a separate room, or Alonzo is happy to relinquish his crate for a friend. Either way, I will always make sure the dogs are separated when I leave the house for maximum safety.

Information Becca D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any issues sharing, as I can make sure to keep toys out of reach for their stay. I will ALWAYS feed the dogs in separate rooms. If your dog has any fears/anxieties (Alonzo's are skateboards), please tell me so I can try to pre-empt or avoid anxious situations. Any food allergies or medical limitations as well. Lastly, if there is anything your dog particularly loves I will try my best to incorporate it into their stay.
A typical day
Alonzo and I's day typically starts between 8-9am, when we wake up and go for a walk around the block for a quick potty. We then come back to eat, and quickly follow with either a dog park trip or a long walk to East River Park. I'll then typically work while Alonzo naps, then we take a lunch time walk around the block again. When we get back, Zo likes to play with toys while I work the rest of the afternoon - whether it be chewing a Nylabone or entertaining himself with a squeaker toy (he'd love to have a friend to play with during this time!). I may also give him a puzzle toy at this time if his energy is especially high. After work we go for another long walk before coming back to eat dinner. Then the rest of the evening is play or chill - whatever he's in the mood for. One more walk around the block, and we're ready for bed. We're happy to fit your dog and their routine into our days however best fits their needs.

Availability
I work from home 5 days a week and have a fairly flexible schedule so I can keep up whatever your pup is used to. I live near Tompkins Square Park and take Alonzo there almost every day - though we would be happy to switch out park time for a long walk with our new friend. If I am available for boarding on the weekend it means my schedule is open to prioritizing whatever your dog needs to have a great stay.
