Hi, my name is Beatriz and I'm 24 years old. I have animals and have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My whole family is passionate about animals and my parents always ensured that I grew up with the love and company of animals, from rabbits, hedgehogs, horses, dogs, cats, chicks, you name it. In Portugal, at my parents' house I have 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 turtle and 1 rabbit (at the moment, because with my mom you never know). Every 6 weeks I go to Portugal just to visit my pets (and my mother likes to think that i'm going to visit her too). I really miss all my pets and so I've started looking after some of my friends' pets in London.

Beatriz has previously walked my rescue dog Dilan but this time she took her to stay at her home for a week over Christmas. It was my first time ever leaving my dog with someone else so I was a little worried about how she’d settle. However Beatriz was absolutely fantastic with her. She and her partner made Dilan feel so loved and settled, and kept me updated with photos and reassuring messages that Dilan was happy and safe and having lovely walks and cuddles. She checked with me before about any experiences or places that might make Dilan feel unsettled and made sure Dilan and I were both happy with their plans for the week. She even took the time to come and meet us prior to the week to make sure Dilan could meet her partner and feel comfortable with him. She is clearly exceptionally experienced at looking after dogs, but is also so incredibly warm and kind and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to look after my dog. At the end of our holiday our flight was delayed by ten hours and I was panicking that we were going to be so late but Beatriz was so reassuring and just let me know Dilan would be fine with her until we were able to make it back. I can’t speak highly enough of her!
Beatriz was very attentive to our two cats and did a great job looking after and playing with them in our home. I would be very happy to book her again. Thanks Beatriz!

I can understand how scary it must be to leave your pet with someone new, so I will always keep you posted with videos, photos or general updates to ensure you can relax as much as possible. I will absolutely be treating your pup as if my own! I would love to know all of your dog's little (and large!) quirks to ensure they have the best time. Perhaps they only love to be tickled behind the ear or are terriotiral over their favourite toy! All of this information is really helpful so I can ensure they feel safe and happy all the time, whether for a short walk down the street or a night at home.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your pet physically and mentally. We'll play a bunch of games and he will receive lots of affection. I always prefer to go to places that your pet already knows and that are part of their routine since being with a new person that they don't know without the owner's presence is difficult and scary enough. Of course we can always check out all the new smells in my neighborhood and explore a big park near my house.

Availability
I am an assistant neuropsychologist at a SEN school and I work with children with neuro diseases (autism, ADHD, epilepsy, behavior problems). I also volunteer with elderly people with dementia on Thursdays. Other than that, I am available at the end of the day for a walk with your pet during the week and on weekends I am available all day for everything your pet needs!
