Big Backyard & Looking for Dog Love
Pet care experience
We are a fun/active family with 2 kids (8 & 11) and a nice fenced backyard close to Golden Gate Park & looking to occasionally host a dog so that we can postpone the inevitable! We had a beloved Vizsla for 12 years and have been too busy with two human puppies to get another dog. We would like to occasionally host a dog and get back in the game. We can host well trained (potty and leash important) dogs. We also prefer dogs on voice control and with kid experience. We can host weekends ONLY (sorry hard to update calendar with this info). We’d love to take in short haired dogs (light allergies) who are active outside and mellow inside and be fun to be around. Ideal size 30-70 lbs.

Bart and his family took wonderful care of zuma over the holiday weekend. They sent lots of pictures of zuma extra happy during his stay and bart’s Daughters did an amazing job of keeping zuma busy playing so much that I doubt he even noticed I was gone. I will definitely book with Bart the next time I need as sitter because I know zuma gets just as much love and attention with Bart’s family as he does at home with me.

We have an allergy situation so we CAN ONLY host shorthaired, hair, or hypo-allergenic docs. Please understand we love all dogs but this is an important health issue. Please be very explicit about breed in your contact info. We may refuse certain breeds which would activate allergies easily (and also dogs without good behavior -- not that anyone's dog is poorly behaved :-)
A typical day
We have a large fenced backyard (for SF) and much outdoor space up the street (at USF) and even Golden Gate Park. We're very active ourselves so if appropriate we can go running with the dog in Golden Gate Park or headlands. We love to make our guest a PART OF THE FAMILY and have him/her come with us on hikes or walks or frolic in the park or sleep in bed unless his/her parents have rules against it.
