I've always had at least one dog in my house growing up and this is how my love for dogs began. We have owned all sorts of different breeds, ages, and sizes of dogs over the years and I cherished them all. My family got most of our dogs from various shelters and they were often very timid when we welcomed them to our home, but they eventually warmed up and became as happy as ever. I currently have a 72 lb chocolate lab from a local shelter. Our favorite activity is hiking in the Penasquitos Canyon. He is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs.
