Pet care experience
I’m home full time (recently retired) so I can give your dog all the attention he needs, and if your pup likes hugs and kisses I have plenty of those to give too. Dogs have been a big part of my life; Charlie, our miniature pinscher, was in our family for 17 wonderful years. He was treated like our third child and was the best companion to our children. Right now I don’t own any dogs but twice a week I dog sit my daughter dog, a very gentle and friendly three years old Labrador retriever. Our home is a dog friendly place where dogs are engaged in our family life, snooze on the sofas or explore in our huge yard. Beside playing in the yard I also take dogs for leashed walks in our neighbourhood for their morning/afternoon walks. I live 10 min walking distance from Routley dog park and several walking trails. We gave Barbara the impossible task of trying to keep our 6 month old toy poodle with a broken leg calm while she stayed there with her larger cavapoo brother. We couldn’t cancel our trip and poor Barbara got the impossible job done and then some! They were happy, loved and loved some more. It was wonderful to get daily pics and run downs and know I didn’t have to worry, they were in good hands. I only hope Barbara will take them back again once the leg is healed and it’s easier.
Barbara was great with Riley. Right from the “meet-and-greet” the week before Riley was totally at home with her. She was great with communication and checking in with pictures and comments during his stay. I would certainly recommend her.
Booking with Barbara was a very pleasant experience. I almost felt like Chloe didn’t want to leave Barbara’s home! They took good care of Chloe and kept her very loved & entertained. I appreciated the pictures and updates for Chloe. I will definitely be booking with Barbara again ☺️
Barbara was very responsive and so wonderful with our pup. We got lots of updates throughout the day and photos! I highly recommend her and her amazing big backyard. She didn’t even have to take him out but they went on an awesome one hour walk and he got lots of love and plenty of fun! Thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby!

Safety of dogs is my first priority; I always make sure that the dogs are in my eyesight both indoors as well as outdoors in our fenced yard. Inside the house I have a dog gate, play pen and a crate which I use if dogs need to be separated or to cool them down.

A typical day
Dogs get plenty of physical exercise running and playing in our huge yard or fetching the ball. I also take dogs for neighbourhood walks and to Routley park. While indoors, I play with dogs using variety of toys and food puzzles or cuddle with them on the sofa.

I’m available for bookings 7 days a week, including statutory holidays. I might be able to accommodate your pup on a short notice ie. same day notice, if needed.
