Pet care experience
I had 4 dogs of all sizes and also bred German Shepherd dogs when I was in Europe. After the dogs passed away and I moved to Thousand Oaks, I wanted to have dogs around me again. So I started offering day care and overnight care for dogs at my house, as well as dog walking, and I love all "my" dogs as if they were a member of my family. I live in a town home with my two sons (12 and 15) and my husband. The house has two closed patios and a big green belt. There is also a dog park right down the street from my house. I am actually studying to become a certified dog trainer and can also offer basic obedience training. The training I am doing is solely reward based, so I do not offer the use of e.g. shock collars or other not reward based training methods. Please message me about availability. I put myself not available on the days I am working, but if you are comfortable with having your pup at my house in care of my husband and sons while I am gone, I can have your pup over also on the days that are shown as not available.

Barbara was awesome. She took Sammy on long walks/hikes every day and sent us pictures. He loved it there. We will definitely have Sammy stay with Barbara again. She has a true love for animals and it shows.
I leave for work very early in the am and don't get back into the area till late at night. Barbara is absolutely wonderful with being flexible with my work hrs and taking care of my puppy. She keeps them active with lots of walking and allows plenty of playtime with a nap here or there.
Lots of love and attention, lots of walks... Barbara is easy to work with and my dog came home very happy. Daily updates and photos were greatly appreciated.

I would like to know the schedule, when the dog is eating, walking, and how much he/she needs to walk. If he/she suffers the heat in the summer and need to be inside with a/c. I need to know if the dog is current with all the shots and who the vet is. I also like to know if the dog is getting along with other dogs, if I can bring her to the dog park.
A typical day
I usually go for walks on the green belt around the house or in the different parks, I also go hiking or to the beach. With more energetic dogs I go running about 3 miles a day or more if they need to get rid of their energy.
