I'm energetic and positive. All dogs will feel like the most important dog in the world with me. We will go on walks, play with their fave toys, and then snuggle when it's time to relax. Your dog will always have 100% of my attention and love. I grew up with multiple dogs, (a Belgian sheep dog, a golden retriever, a German Shepard, a boxer, and two mutts!) so if you have more than one it's absolutely fine. I know how to divide my attention so all dogs in my care feel like they’re special and get their one on one time. I don't have a breed preference. I also am not intimidated by the size of dogs either, as I have owned a 150 pound great pyr in the past and now have a 22 pound pug mix. If you have a blended pet household I am more than happy to give ALL pets attention/take care of them as I am well versed in being a cat caretaker and lover too! :)

I have a fenced in back yard and a younger dog and adult cat to keep your pup company. I like close to boom lake and walk my dog at my lunch hour around the park for some extra stimulation and exercise. I have a subscription to bark box and that means I have many (too many to me sometimes!) toys varying in durability and we used to also have a pitbull that has crossed the rainbow bridge.

My day really allows me to be flexible with special care requests. If you pup needs treats or to be fed at a certain time I can do it, and I can also provide a secluded space for your fur baby if that’s a preference you have. If they are anxious and like certain music or background noise, I can play it. If they aren’t used to going potty in a fenced in backyard and need a pal to accompany them, I can do it. Please feel free to share all details, wants, and concerns up front no matter how big or small…I will be truthful if these are things I can handle or not. The most important thing is your pup being in a place that is best for them, even if it’s not me!
A typical day
Really it’s Winston’s world and I just live in it. I let him outside once an hour at least (more when the weather is nice and he just wants to go out to play or enjoy sun) and we take a 30-45 minute walk each day around Hodag Park. A few times a week I give him a lick mat for more stimulation/diet fun. Winston is allowed in any part of the home on any piece of furniture he wants because dogs are family members in my household. He has too many toys he would love to share! Playing with Ace (my cat) loudly is never an issue and his barks aren’t either because of how my days flow, though he doesn’t often bark but our sweet elder dog who has crossed the rainbow bridge had lots of barking to do and was never penalized. Throughout my work day when I need a mental break I cuddle on the couch, engage in play, or sit outside in my hammock to enjoy the fresh air with Winston.

Availability
I work from home with a Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM schedule. I have an hour for lunch that allows me to be flexible with walks and play time. I have flexibility in my work day to have many scheduled or even unscheduled breaks a furry friend may need from me.
