Pet care experience
Lions and tigers and bears, OH MY! As a ranch girl my animal husbandry experience is quite extensive. Cows, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, small birds (cockatiels, parrots, parakeets etc) and of course dogs and cats. I love all animals. I currently have 1 dog, a border collie called Tucker, and 2 cats, a female orange long-haired tabby called Otis and a tonkenese male called Thomas. I also raise show rabbits. My herd consists of 8 rabbits right now ranging from a little lionhead to a massive flemish giant. I primarily concentrated on the standard rex. Tucker was adopted from a working dog rescue, Otis was from a ranch litter, and Thomas was found by a family member in texas and Otis was getting bored. She needed a friend. I have bottle fed calves and kittens, warmed baby bunnies in my bra, and gave insulin shots to a rat terrier twice a day. I do what they need!!
Reviews
Ralph appeared very happy and healthy when I picked him up. He was excited and all of his things were returned. The only complaint I would have is the person upstairs smokes, so he smells a bit like cigarettes. Nothing a quick bath won't fix. Barbara helped us out on very short notice and I am grateful for her.
Barbara is a very caring person, who loves animals. She has past experience caring for her own diabetic dog, which can be incredibly difficult. She has cared for my 2 dogs on several occasions, which was a very tall order as 1 had severe separation anxiety. Normally, Lucky would refuse to eat or drink when I left, making her drop weight quickly. Barbara was wonderful and we came home to a happy, healthy dog who loved Barbara!
Barbara is very good with my dog (as well as the bunnies kids have ) she has watched her a few times for me cocoa loves her :)
