Pet care experience
I am a dog (animal) lover, who will give your dog the 1-on-1 attention he/she deserves. I work from home during the day and have no other pets or kids, so I am here to be a loving companion to your little guy/girl. I have a nice large (unfenced) yard and live 1/4 mile from a great little park. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood and do daily walks. We are a calm quiet house and prefer dogs with a similar temperament. I was spoiled/blessed with a very well-behaved boy for 16 yrs, and so my preference these days is an easy-going, well-mannered dog that is good on a leash. (Honestly, if you have a high-energy dog I am probably NOT the best fit) But I LOVE friendly, well-behaved dogs that have some training. I also have a special heart for senior dogs -- We have little steps to get up on the couch, and extra-thick beds for tired joints. Also happy to give gentle leg massages for arthritic dogs. :)

My preference is a lower-energy, well-mannered dog that is good on a leash. (If you have a very high-energy dog or one that does not know how to walk on a leash, I am probably not a good fit.) I am open to any breed, but my favorites are medium-sized dogs, especially long-haired ones. :) When you reach out for sitting, please make sure you have completed your Rover profile with photos (or at least a detailed written introduction). I won't accept sight-unseen sitting requests that don't provide any info.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is perfect for walks and we are about 3/4 of a mile from a really nice hiking trail too. And if you are good with me driving with your dog, I live close to a couple of nice parks with many new things to explore, and visits to the dog park always make for a fun field trip too!
