Pet care experience
After teaching language arts to middle schoolers for many years, I believe that I have finally found my calling, training and caring for dogs. Animals, especially dogs, have always been deeply tied to my heart I have cared for both healthy dogs as well as special-needs dogs! I have experience pet sitting birds, cats and reptiles as well. I am an experienced positive reinforcement dog trainer, an invaluable service that I offer to my clients as well as dog sitting and walking. From my experience, boarding your animal at a strange and foreign boarding facility is both psychologically and physically harmful to them. When you go on vacation, whether for two days or two weeks, keep your dog's and various other pets' stress level low by keeping them at home with a very experienced and loving sitter/trainer/dog walker! I am a member of Association of Dog Training Professionals.

Barb is wonderful with our dog Robin. We met Barb as a pet trainer and it was great to leave Robin with someone he knew as a provider of treats! She is very knowledgeable and experienced with dogs and was able to work on some training with Robin while we were away. She stayed with Robin for 10 days and it was comforting for us to know he was in good hands while we were away for an extended period. Barb kept in regular touch and took Robin out for walks and to play with our neighbours dog so he had plenty of exercise and fun. I wouldn't hesitate to ask Barb to look after Robin again or to recommend Barb as a dog sitter or trainer.

A typical day
Lets go for a walk at the nearest park, or play "fetch", "tug" or "find it" in the back yard. Need some refreshing on some of the basics? I am available to work on basic obedience training while sitting your pets, or I am also available for private training sessions with both dog and owner.
