Your Fur-Baby's Home Away from Home
Pet care experience
Ray and I are a flexible retired couple who love animals and they love us! We care for smaller dogs in our home-- and also for larger furry family members in their own home. Every effort to reduce any incidences of stress, loneliness or boredom is provided. The needs of your pet will be met with love, loads of attention, exercise, and playtime! While in our home, your pet will NEVER be left alone --they are literally with us 24/7! Wherever we go--they go. Taking into consideration the weather, health and age of your dog, walks and exercise are included each day. Please be advised we only care for furry companions that are well-behaved and non-aggressive in nature. We request all pets be house broken. There is no charge for an initial “meet and greet” and we’ll provide daily updates with photos while you are away. We hope you look through our photographs to see some of the many fur-friends we've made as well as a few images of our home. ________________ ABOUT THESE SITTERS: Animals of all types make Ray and me extremely happy! Add family with the animals and you've found our joy! Six adult children and thirteen grandchildren make our lives full. Even so--we ALWAYS have time to care for and make new furry friends! ____________ PET SITTING/CARE IN YOUR HOME: If you’re looking for quality care for your dog or cat in YOUR home, service can be CUSTOMIZED to meet your needs! We provide overnight or daily visits to lavish tons of attention and take your faithful friend for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and feeding. All of your pets' needs will be met--including walks throughout the day. While in your home, we can also change the litter box, feed fish, bring in mail, take out/bring in trash containers and water indoor and outdoor plants at no extra charge. Many have told us that their home looks better when they come back home than before they left! There is no extra charge for other pets (such as a cat or bird) in your home. Based upon your requests, fees will be ADJUSTED to meet your needs. _________________ WHY WE LOVE DOG SITTING: We both love animals, and they love us! I can't remember a time when it wasn't so! I find the greatest delight when my husband gets down on the floor to play with our four-legged fur friends and grand-dogs! Some of our clients have called us "the dog-whisperers." We do not presently have a dog; however, over our adult years, our family companions have included a Boxer, Golden Retriever, Black Lab/Doberman mix, and Jack Russell Terrier. We've also had many cats, gerbils, and white mice. EXPERIENCE ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS: Yes. Administered subcutaneous fluids to one of my cats while she was in kidney failure.
Reviews
Amazing!
Ray was great with the pups and sent bundles of photos! We really felt at ease leaving our pups with him!
Barb and Ray are the best!! I feel like we are dropping our fur baby off at her grandparents for the weekend where she is loved and spoiled! The daily emails with pictures of Lady brings smiles to our faces knowing how much fun she is having. Barb and Ray go above and beyond when it comes to dog sitting. We give them 10 stars ⭐️ 🐶
My dog Katie stayed with Barb and Ray for a week in July and we could not have had a better experience. They are wonderful people and it’s very apparent that they truly love animals and take care of them as though they were their own. They sent daily pictures and messages about what they did and where they went, that was super sweet-I could see Katie was loving it there! This was the first time I had to leave Katie with a stranger and I was worried she would be homesick or not do well being away from me but all those worries were alleviated the very first day when they sent pictures of her walking and sniffing and meeting other dogs and looking very content with them. Peace of mind is invaluable, thank you so very much Barb and Ray! -Laura

To better meet the needs of your dog, all clients will receive forms to fill out before the first overnight boarding. 3. A typical day
WHERE WE WALK: We are fortunate to live off of beautiful Paint Creek Trail---where your pet will receive as many walks as they desire. We also visit Stoney Creek Metro Park often. Also, our subdivision has many, many blocks of winding lanes that are lined with mature trees and landscaping; some of our guests often prefer walking and sniffing the lanes! Don't worry---there will be much opportunity for exercise and play!!! –----Or if your pet is more of a cuddle dog—there will be plenty of lap time. YOUR DOG'S SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Your dog can sleep where he or she is most comfortable--be it our bed, next to the bed, your crate or dogie bed. We will follow your routine and instructions in all matters. TIME WE'LL SPEND WITH YOUR DOG: Ray and I have the luxury that being retired offers. Your family member will have an UNLIMITED amount of our time for play, petting, love and attention! We NEVER leave your pet unattended. EXTRA HOUSE SITTING SERVICES: As noted in our profile, we will change litter, bring in mail, take out/bring in trash cans, and water inside and outside plants as needed. Ray and I stay a longer than others for an average dog walk or cat care. So, even-though we lavish attention on your loved pet, we will still have time for the above at no extra charge :-)
