Pet care experience
I enjoy taking care of my “grand dog” when my son travels. Ever since my sweet labradoodle Maggie passed away at age 14, I welcome opportunities to help friends and family with their pet sitting needs. I love to snuggle and play with my little guests and take them for walks in the neighborhood.

Gave Barbara her toughest test yet- a 10 year old dachshund! They got along great. Rusty comes with many of his own requests as dachshunds tend to do, and Barbara was flexible. Barbara kept me informed with updates during his stay which made me feel comfortable.
We had a wonderful experience with Barbara! She took care of our very elderly Shih-Tzu mix, Jack (16+ yrs old!). Although Jack is very sweet, he needs a lot of attention and TLC. Barbara took wonderful care of Jack and sent photos and text updates of how he was doing. We were able to enjoy our long weekend away, knowing Jack was in such caring and capable hands. We would certainly use Barbara again and would highly recommend her to others!
Our dog loved his stay with Barbara! She kept us informed of how he was doing and sent us pictures of him during his stay. Barbara is friendly, communicative and responsive.
Barbara was amazing! She kept me up to date with pictures and texts, but not excessively. Eugene has been quiet since he got home as I feel he misses Barbara. Such a sweet and kind person; will definitely use her in the future.

I have a small enclosed ground floor patio and garden where my doggie guests and I enjoy the sunshine. We enjoy walks on the path that surrounds our community; a lovely park is across the street. Couch time and sharing a pillow may very well be part of the amenity package.

I have a form that I like to send to my clients to gather all the information in a systematic way. I will request: name and contact info of vet in case of emergency; any behavioral issues, dietary restrictions, allergies; description of usual daily and bedtime routine. I do expect my dog guests to be *neutered/spayed *house broken, but I understand that “accidents” may happen from time to time. *Pet must be bathed prior to stay. You will have peace of mind knowing that I am covered by special “pet caretaker” insurance.
A typical day
Walks to the little pond to see the ducks is always a good adventure, as well as walking to the park to see the children playing. Playing with toys and tummy rubs is always appreciated.

I work at home as an artist- and have made some delightful portraits of my grand dogs and others. I like to bake sour dough bread and also make healthy dog biscuits.
