Hello! My name is Barbara Jean. I have 2 dogs (6 year old Australian Shepherd and a 6 year old Chihuahua) and 2 cats of my own. I love all animals and have been taking care of my friends and families pets when they go away. I have taken care of dogs, cats, and parrots. Most weeks I am available in the evenings and on weekends. I am a teacher in Fairfax County so I am more available in the summer. I am a caring and responsible person who loves spending time with all kinds of animals. On nice days, I like to take my dogs on long walks in Old Town. I also have a big backyard that my dogs love to run around in.

Barbara Jean was great with my pups! I appreciated her Rover card updates and the time she spent after their walks to get my shy pups to be more comfortable with her. Thanks Barbara Jean!
Barbara Jean is confident at first, but at the end of the day, she is not the best for elderly/aged animals and when extra care is needed for your special needs animals. She's well suited for zero meds, zero maintenance pet sitting. Her lack of follow through is something to be desired.
If I could give zero stars I would. Barbara Jean oversold her skills and I do not recommend if your pet has special needs or requirements. She's too timid and does not know how to problem solve and is a horrible communicator. Also she let me know only one day before I needed a sitter that she wouldn't sit for my cats anymore. How unprofessional!!!! She clearly knew she wasn't up to the task before then and could have told me way before.
