My love for dogs began more than 35 years ago with a Bichon named Sam. We found him as a puppy and he quickly became a member of the family. Throughout the years, I've raised nine dogs. These animals have given me so much love over the years. I currently have a great little two-year-old guy named "Frankie.” I'm retired and home most of the time so I can provide undivided attention your precious pet. I feed my dog twice a day and a few treats when warranted. The treats he receives are natural and healthy. I love dogs and will take good care of yours while you are away. Frank is waiting to play! I can care for your pet either during the day (7:00am to 6:30pm) or overnight/weekend/week(s). I also follow any feeding schedule and guidelines he/she is used to. I have a large fenced yard and a friendly pup who loves to play but also naps during the day. My home is “pet-proofed” to avoid pets getting into something they shouldn’t.

My dog, Henry, is a 10+yo Chihuahua mix, a rescue that we adopted when he was approx. 5yo. He's cautious of new situations, and like a lot of little dogs, protective of his space. Henry felt right at home at Barbara's, and marched in for his weekend stay like it was his own home! He was well taken care of, and loved, during his stay. Barbara sent photos each day, and gave updates as well. She was easy to communicate with, and was flexible and understanding. Henry holds the bar high, and he gives Barbara 10/10 stars! Highly recommend :)

To encouraging physical activity, we play with toys and balls. I walk the dogs in the neighborhood and give them plenty of time to “smell the flowers” along the way.
