Pet care experience
I started in the pet industry at 18, I have worked in all aspects of the industry including; dog daycare/boarding, training and veterinary medicine. I found my passion working with rescue animals and currently work at a well known animal shelter in downtown Chicago . My love for pets goes outside of work and my personal life, hence why I am on Rover! We recently moved and bought a condo in the city, which is why I decided to return to Rover! We foster dogs through my work, but when we have an empty home, we love to pet sit! I work 3 days a week in the city, however my boyfriend works from home so someone is always at home. We have a resident dog named Boo. She is an adopted 3 year old black mouth cur mix. She is extremely dog and people friendly, and really enjoys having another dog in the home (during boarding). I would love to host your dog (big or small) at my home, or come stay with your animals at yours!

Barbara was the best. Took Elvis for long walks, took care of his injury and sent me pics and updates consistently. I highly recommend using Barbara for anything pet needs you have and I will definitely be requesting her services when I go out of town again.

I love all breeds, but my motto is the bigger the better! In the past I have owned a Mastiff/Pitbull mix that weighed just under 100 pounds and he had my whole heart. But by no means does that mean I don't love little dogs as well! The smaller they are the easier they are to cuddle with! We mostly foster small dogs so our dog Boo is used to the little ones as well! Before pet sitting for a dog I would like to know if they have a usual routine such as a certain time for walks, naps, feeding and bed time. As well as knowing how they behave towards other dogs so that I can know if I can bring them to a dog park!
A typical day
I love to go on walks in the neighborhood, as well as taking the dogs to a near by dog park as I find that its the best way to burn out energy for dogs and allow them to get a good night sleep. As active as I love to be i'm also a huge fan of puppy cuddles! If your dog at home is allowed on furniture such as the couch or bed there will be plenty of snuggling as well, And if they're not allowed on furniture I will be more then happy to just snuggle on the ground! :)
