I grew up in a family that raised many animals. My uncle is a veterinarian and I always helped him out since I was a child. We are passionate about animal rescue and rehabilitation. I’ve worked as a veterinarian assistant, dog trainer, pet sitter, doggy daycare as well as fostering for rescues.

Gunnar loves you guys!
Went above and beyond. Celebrated my dog’s birthday the day before because the next day he was being picked up.
Barbara took us in very last minute. She and her family was so welcoming to Gunnar and took care of him like he was theirs.
My second time with Barbara. I highly recommend. I work down near Dulles once a week and this has been awesome. I drop Beare off on my way in...and pickup after work. Piece of mind on my part knowing he is socializing and running around at her place. So much better than him stuck at the house alone all day. Bonus he comes home exhausted. :)

I have a large sfh with a large fenced yard and a deck. I like to always supervise and interact with the dogs while they’re outside. There’s plenty of couches and rest areas to hang out as well. I keep foods, chemicals and toxic plants out of reach. Also have a carpet cleaning machine and it is used on a regular basis.

My dog is a 2 yo lab mix. He’s pretty high energy but also very affectionate. We foster dogs regularly and he has gotten along with all of them.
A typical day
We tend to go on walks at least once a day depending on weather. We also go out and enjoy the sun out in the deck at least once a day as well. I spend a good amount of time playing with my dog in the backyard since he’s high energy, also have a little kiddie pool (change water daily) so he can jump around and get refreshed. If it’s raining or weather is too extreme then we play in the basement. We occasionally go to the river close to my house where there’s nice trails.

I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I’m also a homebody and prefer to stay home or go out for walks with my dogs with the exception of a few fish group meetings from time to time.
