**NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!** I'm happy to be back providing pet sitting services to my neighbors in and around West Seattle. :) I love dogs. I grew up with dogs, cats, and even ferrets! I worked at an animal hospital throughout high school and college, and then a few years at a dog daycare before starting my career in social justice communications. My dogs are my kids and I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them with a stranger. I take my dog sitting duties very seriously and love being able to provide a level of comfort knowing your precious family member is in good hands. I am a freelance consultant and work from home, so it is easy for me to work around your dog's preferred routine. I have numerous repeat clients in the West Seattle neighborhood and am looking to expand my clientele. I would love to meet with you and your dog(s) and work together to ensure you are able to enjoy your time away from home while knowing your dog is getting all the attention and exercise they need.

Barbara has stayed at our house and watched our dog Clover several times while we've been away. She's amazing! I trust her implicitly - when we come home, Clover is always happy and relaxed, even after us being gone for a week. Barbara keeps Clover's normal routine of walking and ball playing in the yard, and just takes great care of her. At Thanksgiving, Barbara even bought Clover a stuffed turkey toy, and it's still Clover's favorite toy to this day. Barbara has also watched our friend's elderly dog along with Clover, and she was especially attuned to how that dog had different needs and did an amazing job watching both of them together. Barbara always leaves our house spotless - even cleaner than when we left. We appreciate her so much and recommend her to all of our friends!
We recently used Barbara to house sit for us while my husband and I were away on vacation. We have three cats and one small dog, who tends to be rather anxious and will often refuse to eat especially while we are away. Barbara checked in with me multiples times daily, letting me know how our herd was doing. She did great with our anxious dog, walked him daily, gave him his medication twice a day and even got him to eat at least once a day. We came home to a very clean and happy household. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I felt safe and reassured that our animals were being well taken care of while we were away. There is nothing worse than being on vacation and fearful of something bad happening to your home or to your animals, but I can easily say that I had none of those fears, knowing that Barbara was at our house...I could actually relax and enjoy myself.

I also love to learn about their habits and their training so I can ensure I keep up with your training regimen while you're gone!

I'm happy to take a walk through your neighborhood for regular walks. If dog sitting, I love heading to Lincoln Park or Seahurst for your dog to enjoy the sights and smells of the bay.

I work from home so I am extremely flexible with my daily and weekly routine. This is perfect for dogs whose parents also work from home, or new puppies and older dogs who need a little more attention.
