Pet care experience
I am a life long dog lover, recently I lost my soul dog to cancer and I am looking to connect with some sweet pups in the area. I have an animal science background and have been taking care of dogs since the age of 10. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies and dogs with acute or chronic conditions. I am patient, caring and my home is fairly quiet for pups who are on the shy side. I only care for one dog at a time or if you have two dogs I will care for those of the same household. Dogs are family and I know how stressful it can be leaving a pet, for you and for them, I can send photos and updates as frequently as you would like and will give your pup lots of love while you are away!

I have a 9 acre farm that has space to roam. Your pup would be leashed at all times outdoors to keep them safe from the road, I have a cat that would be sequesters away from visiting dogs and have a rabbit that can be closed away for safety. I recently adopted a senior dog that is low energy and great with other dogs. I ask for you to provide a crate that would be used overnight or if I leave the home for a period of time.

A typical day
I love to play fetch with dogs, take them for walks on a 3 mile loop near my farm or take a nice stroll along the Red Cedar River. I am happy to put together brain games and puzzles for those that need more outlets for their energy. Your pup can join me in the greenhouse as I water plants, prepare the fields for planting or relax in my home.

I work from home 1-2 days a week (Thursdays and Fridays), usually home on weekends and can easily accommodate potty breaks, walks or any care needed. I am able to meet the needs of any dog staying with me!
