Dogs are my biggest passion in life. I love learning each dog’s unique personality and figuring out how I can best suit their needs. In my 5 years assisting shelters, rescues, and veterinarians and taking care of other people’s puppies and dogs, I have worked with all sorts of personalities and sizes, from Chihuahua to Great Dane. I get to know each pup as an individual- what motivates them, makes their tail wag like crazy, and what they’d rather not do. I do walks, drop-ins, and petsitting. If your dog is happiest in their own home but still in need of some exercise or entertainment, I offer canine brain games, interactive enrichment toys, in-house playtime, and training basic tricks. I also have experience caring for dogs with medical needs and other challenges that limit what they can do. I love to get creative with and adapt enrichment! For petsitting clients I also offer “sniffaris”, socialization outings (to places like Home Depot, pet stores, and other pet-friendly establishments), Cooperative Care training basics, and more! (These are only able to be done for petsitting clients due to time constraints and pricing of the other services.) We can talk about your dog’s specific needs. I exclusively use clicker, positive reinforcement, counterconditioning, and other force-free methods. I have my own car and serve all of Ithaca. I have some openings in mornings and lots of flexibility in afternoons and evenings. I ask lots of questions to ensure I know exactly what you want, am meeting all your dog's needs, and always follow any rules or preferences you have. I clean up after your pup, including post-adventure bathing as needed.
