A personalized experience!

Pet care experience

I will provide lots of play, including fetch and lots of petting! On their walks, I will mostly walk. However, depending on the size of dog I may jog/run with them. I have owned dogs my entire life and absolutely get all squeaky and excited whenever I see someone walking their dog past my house. Dogs are awesome, and I completely understand when an owner simply can't be home to play with them (my family's busy, too!). This is why I want to do this for you - because you care. As far as pet care experience, I've been working with pet owners through Rover for several years. This being said, I know every dog can have different needs. With your expertise on your own pet any my willingness to learn, we can make any experience great!

We have had Bailey stay with our dog several times and she is so easy to work with, takes amazing care of our Maxx, and is extremely communicative...we love having her!

Loved having Bailey...she took such great care of our pup and the house seemed cleaner than when we left it. Definitely looking forward to having her back!

We would not recommend Bailey as a house sitter. We had used her services two other times and she did the bare minimum at best regarding updates and communication. She never let us know that she walked our dogs, so we aren't sure if she even did. This wasn't preferable, but it was tolerable. We booked her for over New Years Eve so we could visit family across the country. When we asked what her plans were the day of, she said that she was going to go out but wouldn't be gone too long after midnight. We found this frustrating because we assumed that if a Rover sitter says they are available over a holiday, especially one with fireworks, they will be around. We requested that she let us know when she made it home. She didn't. We attempted to contact her the next day since we hadn't heard from her by 12 pm. We were unable to to reach her and Rover was unable to reach her. This was very stressful as, like I said, we were across the country. I had one of my friends go over and knock on the door. By then it was 2 pm. There were two cars at our house, so she had guests without letting us know. Bailey answered the door and spoke with us through my friend's phone, saying that her phone doesn't receive calls sometimes (we had also texted). We have had incredible luck with other Rover sitters but won't be requesting Bailey's services again.

We booked Bailey for a week and a half...she only lasted 3 days. If you book Bailey we recommend getting everything in writing for example, her daily schedule. On our very first day of vacation we had to get a neighbor to come home early and let our dog out. We told Bailey we were leaving for the airport around 2:30 am..she didn't come to our house until 4:30 pm. Had we not called the neighbor our dog would have been inside for nearly 15 hours. We later found out Bailey was teaching at day camp all week. She told us during the meet and greet, and in e-mail, her only other obligations were 3 evenings the following week, nothing was mentioned about a day obligation to someone else. Let me repeat, get everything in writing. We have chickens. Bailey agreed to let them out each day. The first two days she didn't. We have an exterior surveillance system that we can playback from our cell phones. We texted Bailey asking about the chickens and why we could not see them in the yard. She denied failing letting them out and claimed our cameras were not working. However, the very next day we could clearly see Bailey in the yard trying to get the chickens back in the coop. So I guess the cameras were working after all. We made a verbal agreement with her that we would buy her some food if she would water our plants. She didn't water any plants despite it being 100 degrees the day we left. We left her written instructions which included bringing in the trashcan the day we left. We feel it was important because it shows someone was at home. Three days later we had to text her to remind her to bring the can in from the road which seemed to be the final straw for her. We flew home on a Saturday and were leaving for a week long camping trip the next day. It was at this point that Bailey decided that we must not trust her and basically quit. In the middle of Dulles airport, 3000 miles away, we were left scrambling to find a new sitter. Not a very relaxing vacation. We came home to a sink full of dishes and a stinky full trash can. We had to scramble to find a replacement sitter because we had reservations to keep. We worked with Rover.com. Rover told us they wanted to try and coach her but in the end they canceled her booking because they couldn't get in touch with her. Multiple attempts were made by Rover.com beginning Saturday and ending Sunday to reach Bailey. We ended up getting another neighbor to do the job. Bailey is a very nice girl. We just believe that she was trying to do too many things at one time. She obviously didn't see the posted surveillance signs and cameras and didn't like being called out her agreed upon duties.

Information Bailey J. would like to know about your pet

I love almost all dog breeds, so no preferences here! I really like to get to know a dog's habits and their favorites: Do they have a specific time they eat? Do they need to go out more often than expected? Do they have separation anxiety? Do they have a favorite game/treat? I truly want to be there to make yours and your dog's experience as great as possible.

A typical day

We will go on walks around your neighborhood. Whenever possible, I will take them to a nearby park or grassy area to play their favorite game. If there are any requests, I have open ears to hear them - I know how picky a dog can sometimes be.
