After 6 years on the Rover platform, I can’t express what a treasure it’s been to care for the pets in my community. You could say each dog has taught this old gal some new tricks!

Bailey was able to help out last minute to walk my high energy dog who I had to leave behind for a longer period of time than normal. When I met her the day before, she was very easy to communicate with, friendly, and it was a pleasure to have her walk my dog. She even sent me a picture of my smiling dog on their walk! I keep wonderful memories of the dogs I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with over the years, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude when owners welcome me to their homes time and time again. I can imagine the idea of inviting a stranger to care for your pet is uncomfortable initially, which is why I enjoy being the confident, reliable and caring walker/sitter for your dog. Whether you prefer to chat regularly or just have a “fairy-dog-mother” who shows up and gets the job done, I would be honored to be your gal.

I love great communication with owners. Please feel free to use the pre-visit call option here on Rover or book an initial meeting (which is free) so I can meet you and we can discuss needs/expectations/routines more in depth. Ideally, I’d like to know pet allergies/medications/things to avoid, if the pet is good with children, other dogs, other people. Also, if the pet can be let off leash and has good recall/basic obedience skills. If I’ll be taking your pup without you being there, please let me know your routines and where the equipment is (leashed, doggie bags, training tools if needed). I have no breed preferences! I love them all as long as they aren’t trying to sink their teeth into me.
A typical day
Stimulating your dog’s mental and physical health so they need a little nap after my visit is my goal. This looks like playing mind teaser games, doing light training, or taking a long walk with lots of sniffing.

Truthfully, and as cliche as it sounds, caring for your pet like my own is priority — it’s not a customer service category or box I strive to “check off.” I know your pup is your baby; you want the best food, best training, best treats, and most importantly, the best care for your four legged family member. I am the same way with my 1.5 year old female Doberman Pinscher rescue.
