Pet care experience

I have owned multiple dogs at a time almost all my life! They aren't pets to me and are more like family! I just graduated from college and am a substitute teacher, so you know if I can handle kids then you can trust me to take care of your furry friends! I have a car, so I have reliable transportation to reach your residence and take your dog to the C&O canal trails near Shepherdstown or to the dog park off Job Corps Road. I am also fairly strong and know how to read puppers to know if they are uncomfortable or not feeling well. I also know where all the nearest vets are in the area, and which ones provide the best care. I would love to get to know you and your extended furry family!

I have known Baileigh for several years, and we have often discussed our pets. I know that Baileigh values dogs and her other animals as family members and treats them with loving care. I have seen her work very well with animals, and I know Baileigh to be an extremely responsible and conscientious individual. She has been a pet sitter for mutual friends on many occasions, and she treats pets of others with the same high level of love and attention as she does with her own animals. I would not ever hesitate to leave my own canine buddies in her care.

Baileigh is amazing with my dog Edith-Anne. Edith is a border-jack and very excited about walks, but nervous by a lot of different situations. If Edith doesn’t trust the person she’s walking with, she will pull at the lead the whole time and want to run somewhere “safe”. She however trusts Baileigh completely and wholly and looks forward to walking with her. She still gets very excited and pulls against the lead because she wants to go for a run, but Baileigh calmly gives her the signal to slow down and Edith heels and follows with her. She is an excellent pet owner, dog walker, and animal lover. She has a bachelors in Biology because she loves animals so much. I would trust her with any pet.

Baileigh has been an invaluable help with taking care of my dog Emma-Louise. Louise is a red heeler/Australian cattledog mix, and is absolutely smitten with Baileigh. Louise is spirited and overly excitable dog when it comes to walk time, and wants to run all over and chase/heard things. Yet when walking her, Baileigh is excellent with her and great at communicating to her what needs to be done. She is patient and kind, but authoritative enough that Louise is focused on the walk and following alongside Baileigh. Baileigh is a biologist and a massive animal lover, and I absolutely trust my dog with her and will conintue to trust her with any future pets.

All I need to know is if the pup has any agression issues or triggers for abnormal behavior. Also if your pup has any medical needs, like food allergies or medications they need while I will be looking after them.

A typical day

We can walk around town or go to a local river for some warm summer fun! Hapers Ferry is not far away and lobely for walks in nature. I'll play fetch with your pups and let them sleep in the same bed with me while sitting. I'll make sure all meds are taken on time and the pups are cared for following any set rougines to minimize stress while the rest of their pack is away.
