Pet care experience
I grew up in Alaska with lots of animals – a golden retriever, a retired army German shepherd, two cats, and many fish throughout the years. My mom loves to garden and I do landscaping in Sebastapol, so I am pretty good with plants as well. I've cared for lots of dogs, from puppies to older dogs, and have experience giving all kinds of medications, such as antibiotic drops and pills.

I had Avi house sit for me and take care of my 7 year old husky and 3 year old cat for three weeks this winter. My dog requires daily medication and Avi handled that very well. He was extremely professional and caring. He took amazing care of my animals and plants. He was constantly checking in with me and sending me pictures of my pets. The house was clean and orderly when I arrived too. I highly recommend him. He is kind, thoughtful, respectful, and I’m sure will take amazing care of your space and loved ones, as he did mine.
Avichai is a fantastic petsitter! He has cared for two dogs before and always showed them love, care, and provided them with activities whether it be playing catch or taking them on a walk or run on the trails! Avi knows how to treat the pet’s needs first and always make sure that their pet is taken care of and comfortable.
Avi was amazing! I have a wonderful, but also behaviorally complicated, energetic German Shepard who requires special attention and because of Avi I was able to travel for a few months, knowing he was properly cared for. He goes above and beyond to make sure he always felt safe, to watch his behavioral signs and act accordingly. And I will say, my pups loved him so much. To the point when I returned he struggled to say goodbye to him :)
Avi did a wonderful job taking care of my two dogs! He was super responsive, made sure that my pups had everything they needed, and generally was super responsible and kind. I will definitely be using Avi's services again when we go out of town. A friendly guy who loves animals.

A typical day
I love to make sure your dogs and pets are well taken care of and loved! In the morning we’ll eat breakfast, take a walk if desired, and have some play time - and continue all day long. I work remote, so I’m very flexible in giving your pets all the attention and love they need, when they need it.

Availability
I grew up in Alaska but left for sunnier and warmer weather after high school. I like to do a mix of landscaping, woodworking, and freelance web development work - but my passions lie with nutrition, ayurveda, and permaculture. I grew up with dogs and cats (and fish!) and my sister is a Search & Rescue dog trainer so I've had lots of time around animals and feel very comfortable with them. I love hiking and walking, playing the guitar, meditating, writing poetry, and drinking good coffee.
