Avery was very kind in the interview but forgot to ask how to get in an out of the house. She didn’t show up on time so I pushed back the booking. After one check in she messaged me privately she needed to be with her cat overnight in case they were sick. I contacted Rover support to find a replacement sitter but they made it very difficult because she didn’t cancel the booking. She chastised me for asking support for help. I was at a Drs appointment 200 miles away. From 3 pm to 10 pm I was on the phone trying to find care for my dogs while agents told me my dogs care was my responsibility not Rovers, that the Rover guarantee didn’t cover a sitter leaving for the majority of the booking, and the agents didn’t try to find a replacement for 4 hours. It was one of the most stressful days of my life. A new sitter came. Thankfully Avery agreed to a refund. My night was ruined and I had a medical complication from the stress. Emergencies are understandable but this was handled in the worst way possible. I’m not even sure it qualifies as a an emergency. I hope her cat is okay but I wouldn’t recommend her to take care of your pets.

She has a kitten named tiggy and spoils her greatly! She shows her so much love and care. Always on top of feedings, exercise, teaching, and showing attention. Before that she’s always lived with animals growing up. Every dog and cat she comes across, she instantly falls in love and wants to meet and pet. She’s watched and walked some friend’s pets before and she ultimately finds it to be so fulfilling and an amazing opportunity. She would be amazing at this.
