I am an incoming student at Penn Vet and a recent graduate from Macalester College. I worked as a vet assistant at Saint Paul Pet Hospital for a year, and I love animals. Back home I have raised and cared for 4 dogs, 16 chickens, 10 cats, 1 hamster, 2 guinea pigs, 2 birds, and 5 horses. Their care included cleaning cages, stalls, and yards and feeding and exercising regularly. I understand and love the responsibilities and time commitment that comes with caring for animals. I do not have pets of my own here in Minnesota, so I am hoping to work for pet owners nearby to get to spend time with animals this summer.
