Pet care experience
Every step of my life has been taken with pets by my side. I grew up in a home filled with dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, fish, hamsters, and guinea pigs! I’d say I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience taking care of all of these animals, and becoming someone they can trust along the way. I’m always my friends, family, and neighbors’ go-to when they need a stress-free getaway, knowing their pets are in great hands. I’ll do anything for your pets and I’m confident in tending to any of their special needs, whether that be dietary or lifestyle. Ultimately, my goal is to make your pets happy enough that they’ll forget you’re even gone!!

Avery was attentive, responsive, and wonderful with our animals! We have 2 older pets, one of whom needs medication daily, and she was excellent taking care of them and making sure we knew how they were doing. I could tell she genuinely liked them and enjoyed spending time with them. She made us feel comfortable leaving them, which is always a hard part of having pets! I would absolutely hire her to watch them again, and I can't recommend her highly enough.
Our experience with Avery has been great! It seems we’ve always adopted dogs who have had behavioral issues; food aggression, biting, etc. It’s amazing that they have all loved her! We call her the “dog whisperer” at our house. It amazes us that she never has the problems with the dogs that others, even we, have had. Maybe it’s her gentle, calm, caring personality. She’s very responsible & we can’t think of anyone we’d rather have care for our pets!
Avery has done visits to care for my dog periodically when I need her to and she followed my instructions perfectly! My dog is always happy to see her. I would definitely recommend her.
Avery has always kept our animals when we are away from the house. She has experience with our 2 dogs, cat, lizard, and Guinea pigs. She loves them like they are her own! We never have to worry while we are away as she keeps us updated often!

I truly rely on the owner’s instructions or concerns. For example, if their animal is a bit wary of strangers, I know to act accordingly to their pet’s behavior and not to overstep. I’m always very careful and gentle, especially with elderly animals! I will always leave the house as it was before I came, if not better. I also love to send you pictures during my visit so you know how well your pets are doing. If you have any concerns, I want to hear them and make sure I can put your mind at ease, as this shouldn’t be a stressful process for you.

I think it’s important to know if they have anything they’re particularly sensitive about so that I can ensure both of our safety. Food aggression, fear of strangers, or even elderly dogs’ hips are just a few examples. I want your pet to be as comfortable as possible, as I am a guest in their home. Of course, if there’s anything else you feel I should know, I want to know as much as possible to give your pet the best care.
A typical day
I try to match the pet I’m watching with the same energ that they give me. If your dog has a playful personality, I’ll include more activities to help them release all that energy, whether that be playing tug-of-war for an hour, taking them around the block a few times, or even having them chase me around when they get the zoomies! And if your pet likes to take it easy, I’ll sit with them in their favorite spot and give them all the belly rubs they could ever want.

I am available Monday through Saturday at any time. On Sundays, I’m only available after 4 p.m. However, if you have any questions about my schedule, feel free to ask and I’ll try my best to accommodate!
