Pet care experience
I have had dogs my whole life and have helped to take care of them starting at a young age. I also have two cats of my own and love having them as a part of my family. I have been caring for other's animals outside of the app for years and want to grow my fur baby family 💕 cannot wait to meet you and your four legged family members! Message me if you think we will be a good fit!! If your pet has any special needs all I need is a walk through on their routines, medications, and daily lives in our in-person meeting.

We couldn’t be happier with Avery and the care she gave to our two elderly cats, who are rather set in their routine. During her visits she not only fed, brushed, and attended to their needs, but also gave them extra cuddles and attention. The daily pictures she sent showed us two happy and content cats, which helped ease the anxiety of being away from them. Avery was prompt, took care of any unexpected situation, and gave us daily updates of her visits. She went above and beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate in recommending Avery to anyone looking for a loving caregiver for their precious fur babies.
My fur children LOVE Avery!! She has cared for my two cavalier King Charles spaniels at least 20 times for 2-5 night work trips. My girls are sweet as could be but very high maintenance and Avery covers everything they need with ease, from processing homemade food, to supplements, allergy pills and managing/limiting treats. She is reliable, punctual, kind, smart and has great judgment. I trust my pups lives with her and it brings me such peace to know she is with my girls when I am away for work. Avery is an absolute gem of a person and a trusted friend and caretaker animals recognize immediately. Hire her!!

I am very flexible with house sitting options. I have stayed full time and worked within people's homes while caring for their animals. I ensure they get all their meals, take them out, and play with them throughout the day. I would only need your emergency contacts as well as your vets information in case anything were to come up and I will be all set! I have stayed in other people's homes where food is provided for the meals that I will be staying for, or I am happy to bring or prepare my own if you feel comfortable with that. We can talk about anything you're comfortable with doing and go from there! Otherwise, I'm happy to check in on your pets on the weekend, change their litter, feed them their meals, or take them on walks if needed.

Message me to set up an in-person meeting so we can go over any special needs that your pet may have. I would prefer if we go over any medications, routines, or habits they have in that in-person meeting to see first hand how to make them the most comfortable with me before our first official sitting. If your cats/dogs have grooming needs, certain eating behaviors, favorite things, or anything additional in their personality I need to know please tell me! Anything big or small about them is helpful, and will make them more comfortable with me that much quicker. I will reach out with anything and everything during my stay/check-ins, but the less I have to reach out with questions the more you can enjoy your vacations or focus on your work trips!
A typical day
I start off their day with their breakfast, cleaning their water bowl, and making sure they get outside. I love playing with them outside if the permits, or inside if that is a preference. If brushing is needed, I am happy to do so, along with any medications needed. The rest of the day is filled with additional bathroom breaks, lots of pets/cuddles, and their dinner. I'll make sure they are safely tucked into bed if it is an overnight stay, and continue their potty routine if that is needed before bed. Photos will be taken at every check-in and send to you either in the app or via text for ease of mind. Anything additional I can provide to help relieve any stress leaving them at home, I'm happy to go over that!

Availability
I currently work full-time on the week days but can check in on your pets before work, during lunch, or after work if you are nearby. If house sitting is requested, I can work on weekdays from your home if you are comfortable. I would only need wifi and a place to sit at with my computer. Check ins within 15-20 minutes from Grayslake, IL can get two+ visits a day. Will accept farther visits if you only need one check in a day in the early morning or evening. *rates may vary depending on distance, care, frequency of visits, length of stay, etc. so please feel free to reach out to talk it over any of this at all if you feel that we are a good fit*
