Pet care experience

:)

Hi there! My name is Avery, and I’m excited to offer reliable, loving pet care to anyone who needs a helping hand with their furry family members. Whether you’re looking for dog walking, drop-in visits, or house sitting, I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Walks can include fun neighborhood strolls, playtime, and plenty of potty breaks, and drop-ins come with feeding, fresh water, enrichment, and lots of attention. I have years of personal experience caring for dogs and other pets, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your animals. I always treat every pet like my own—patient, gentle, and respectful of their needs, routines, and personalities. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I’m confident working with all temperaments. I’m available as many hours as possible, with a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of quality time with your pets. Because I’m able to adjust my hours around clients, I can be there for regular walks, last-minute needs, or longer stays. You can count on me for consistent communication, photo updates, and dependable service every single visit. I’d love the chance to care for your pets and give them all the love and attention they deserve. Feel free to reach out—I’m happy to answer any questions and meet you and your pets! 🐾💛

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and consistent environment that helps every pet feel secure and relaxed. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care instructions you provide. I always take the time to learn your pet’s likes, dislikes, and comfort needs so they feel right at home.

I am so glad we found Avery! She watched my pets in my home for 9 nights and she was great communicating updates and sending pics!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I build my schedule around the pets I work with. I have a very flexible availability, which allows me to provide consistent care throughout the day—whether that means morning walks, mid-day drop-ins, evening visits, or extended stays. I’m able to adjust my day to meet each pet’s needs, making sure they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I plan my routine so that I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I never rush through visits. I prioritize communication with pet parents and keep a steady rhythm of updates and photos. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so it never feels like a chore—it’s a regular, happy part of my life.

Before caring for your pet, I like to know any information that helps me give them the safest and most comfortable experience possible. This includes: • Daily routine: feeding schedule, potty times, and typical energy level • Behavior quirks: things they love, things they dislike, fears, or triggers • Social habits: how they do around other dogs, people, or new environments • Medical needs: medications, allergies, past injuries, or mobility concerns • Training details: commands they know, cues you use, and any behaviors you’re working on • House rules: furniture rules, crate routines, or anything important to maintain consistency • Emergency contacts: vet info and who to reach if something unexpected happens The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
