Hi, I’m Avery and have been taking care of dogs my whole life! I’ve been in charge of training, walking, bathing, and caring for senior dogs. Not only have these been my dogs, but others that I have been a sitter for.

Avery took great care of our dog while we were on vacation. She is very reliable and caring.
Avery was great with my dog. She made sure he was comfortable in her home and took him for plenty of walks to help with his nervousness. She was also happy to meet prior to the boarding to help my dog get accustom to the environment, which I really appreciated. Overall I would feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her again.
Avery is great with animals and loves to have them around. She cares a lot and finds importance in making them feel loved and going on walks with them.

. In my own home we never had a fence, so I am very comfortable with dogs both on and off the leash, whatever you prefer. I have also had dogs that are friendly with others and ones that are more aggressive, so I am used to handling both. I am currently living with 3 other roommates who have also lived with dogs their whole lives, including puppies, seniors, and special needs dogs. We are all home at different times during the day depending on classes, so their will always be at least one person home with the dog if I am away.

Please let me know ahead of booking if you’re dog has any medications required, anxiety issues, is teething, or if it would require us to block off any areas of the house. I have handled dogs with all this before, however would want to know if any precautions to take before the dog arrives!
A typical day
I love to teach dogs new tricks, take them on long walks or runs, play fetch, or just lay around on the couch with them. As long as you let me know what your dog or dogs like best, I’m up for it!

Availability
I’m currently a student-athlete on the soccer team at Iowa State, so the fall schedule while we are in season can get a little crazy. Luckily, our season is now over and I have free time that I don’t know what to do with, except hopefully watching dogs! I currently have practices and classes during the week, but I frequently come home during the morning in between these events. I will always be home during the late afternoon and evening to take your pet on long walks or do whatever their favorite activity is!
