Pet care experience
I have always had a dog growing up. My family has an adorable lab-hound mix named Ziggy that you will see in some of my pictures. I have experience with different dog breeds and have cared for puppies and elderly dogs alike so I know I’m the perfect person for the job! I also have experience with cats and feel comfortable watching them as well. I will love your animals like they are my own! I I am patient and can promise that your pets are in good hands when they are in my care.

Averi should be in the commercials for Rover, she’s seriously who all us pet parents hope we find on this website. This was our first time working with her and she was wonderful about updates and photos. She took really good care of our two dogs and our home. We felt so comfortable knowing she was back home while we were away due to how detailed her updates were.
Averi took amazing care of our 13 year-old Border Collie mix in our home while we were away. She was in close communication, sending updates and photos regularly. Our dog had a medical condition that required daily photos and monitoring, and Averi did a great job! Our house was also spotless when we returned. We strongly recommend Averi and will definitely hire her again!
Our two dogs enjoyed another great stay with Averi. They were so well cared for, walked often and given tons of love and attention. Avei deals with any situation so calmly and always with a smile. When our rambunctious pup ate something he shouldn't have, Averi dealt with it calmly and responsibly. She contacted us immediately with legitimate concern and updated us regularly to put our minds at ease. All was fine. We so appreciated her diligence and care. Our pups could not be in better hands!

I have grown up taking care of my family dogs and was dog walking/caring for 3 dogs and and 6 cats full-time in 2020 for a family who needed assistance. The safety of your pet is of upmost importance to me. I can handle reactive, large dogs and shy kitties as well. I will have a great time with your pet during every visit and ensure that you return home to them safe and happy every time.

I like to know the typical routine of the pet I’m watching so I can replicate that as much as possible. I feel like my job is to be an extension of the pet owner. This means giving your furry creatures the same attention and exercise that they are used to. I have also learned to be prepared for anything when it comes to taking care of pets. I have extra leashes and poop bags in my car because anything can happen and I like to be as prepared as possible.
A typical day
I love to keep the dogs I'm walking or taking care of fully engaged. We will go on long walks, play with their toys and other dogs if allowed and just generally make sure the dog is having a great time while they are in my care. I usually take dogs wherever their owner tells me they are most comfortable. I will usually keep them close to their neighborhood or head to a local dog park if that’s an option.

Availability
My schedule is pretty flexible since I work from home. I have to get in a mid-day walk to stay sane so I might as well bring your pup along! (I will block off days I am unavailable due to work travel). I am also available most weekends unless otherwise stated on my calendar.
