Kind and conscientious, Ava was an engaged student and active participant at the FOOD for Lane County GrassRoots Garden, which I coordinate. Easily stepping into leadership roles, I quickly came to rely on her for tasks of added responsibility. Whether working collaboratively in and among large groups of people or taking on independent projects in our outdoor kitchen, she had clear thinking and solid follow through. With maturity beyond her years, she was able and willing to meet the challenge of anything and everything that was needed. Though having a quiet and unassuming presence, she nonetheless became a role models for others to follow and a tremendous asset to the activities of the day. I was fortunate to get to work with Ava may times over the span of a couple of years. She was always caring and thoughtful in all of her interactions and involvements. Working with the broad diversity of garden participants that come to GrassRoots, she treated everyone with the utmost respect and regard. An exceptional individual, I'm certain she would be extremely conscientious and responsible in meeting your needs, and would be caring and loving companion to your pet.
