Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Ava and I am a local college student and animal lover with a flexible schedule and lots of experience! I’ve taken part in rescuing, training, and rehabilitating dogs since I was around 10 years old. I have years of experience with foster dogs, as well as training and involvement with many rescue organizations like the humane society. I have most experience with large dogs, but am comfortable caring for dogs of any size, as well as cats. I am also comfortable with younger animals, as I have raised a kitten and cared for puppies. I have a special passion for rescue animals and have helped give many animals the loving home they deserve. I have experience with senior dogs and am highly comfortable caring for them. I am also a student at University of Florida with an interest in veterinary science, so I am very passionate about researching the best care for everyone’s babies!

Ava was absolutely awesome and did a great job taking care of our dog! She constantly checked in with updates and shared plenty of pictures throughout the day. Even though our dog is a bit hyper, Ava had no problems handling her and it’s definitely clear our dog loved hanging out with her. We will gladly be booking again any time we need a sitter as she is highly dependable, communicative, and responsive to any special needs you may have.
I was sold on booking with Ava when I read about her experience with rescue, foster & larger breed dogs. Gaia had her first walk with Ava today and not only was she punctual, she handled Gaia’s initial excitement level with ease and sent photo confirmation of my baby girl with a big ‘ol smile on her face.(which as a pet parent, is absolutely priceless!) Please let me know if your dog has any medical or behavioral needs that I should be aware of! I am comfortable administering medication to dogs and have experience making the introduction process as safe and respectful as possible. I will make sure your pet is comfortable with me through the use of play and treats! I have a very calm and respectful nature towards animals and will do my best to provide a safe and engaged environment for your pet!
A typical day
During the day, I’d use physical and mental stimulation depending on the dogs activity level! For super active dogs, a long walk in the neighborhood or nearby parks are perfect. For less active or senior dogs, I love to stimulate their brains with new smells and treat-involved games like “hide and seek.” If your dog is very social, I’d love to take them to my favorite local dog parks where they can run, swim, and play safely!

I am currently home from college for the summer, so my availability is extremely open and flexible right now! I am available most days of the week (including weekends), and can adjust my schedule to fit your pets unique needs!
