Adaptable Dog Enthusiast

Pet care experience

BACK FROM MY MEDICAL HIATUS!!! A HUGE thank you to those who reached out to check in! I have gotten on a great medication regimen and am much improved! I’m so ready to get back to work! PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION; SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST CONFIRMS THAT HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND MY POLICIES LISTED BELOW. I have been an active pet sitter, and part of the rover platform for over 5 years. I have a huge heart for animals, and love caring for them. I offer Drop in Visits, Dog Walking, and House Sitting for all your pet sitting need! I will keep your pups happy and entertained while your away! I make sure to upkeep care and training routines, meaning if your pets eat at exactly 5am and 5pm, I’ll make sure I’m not a minute late. If you pup prefers to have a bowl of food available at all times, I’ll make sure it’s never empty. If you have been working on training or tricks, I’ll make sure your pets keep up on their puppy homework of tricks and training! I’ll take the utmost care of your babies, because they deserve it. What to expect when booking with me: Prior to any visit, I always require a meet and greet. This is a chance for us to discuss your pets care routines and individual needs. It’s also a great opportunity for us all the meet and make sure everyone agrees it’s a good fit. If you are booking dog walking/drop in visit services: You will receive an update as soon as the visit finishes. This will include details such as, if they ate or drank water, if they went to the bathroom, any other little updates I may need to inform you of, and photos from our visit! If you are booking house sitting services: You will receive an update every evening. It will include what we did that day (walks, playing, etc), details of your pets behaviors during the day (I always monitor for things such as: anxiety, uneasiness, restlessness),updates on any issues that happened (should an issue have occurred), and photos of your pets taken throughout the day. Please note: I operate on a first come, first served system. I do not hold dates, the only way to guarantee and reserve your stay is to book your stay with payment through rover. If I have multiple requests for the same dates, whoever books first will be the one to get those dates. A meet and greet does not guarantee your stay. You must book with payment to reserve the dates you desire. Failure to book in advance may prevent your stay from being reserved. Once again, I DO NOT HOLD DATES WITHOUT CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING AND PAYMENT THROUGH ROVER. Due to this, I highly recommend booking as far in advance as you can, especially for holidays. For example, I fill all my spots for Thanksgiving and Christmas by October most years. Please note: House Sitting price per night is based on a 24 hour period, if your stay extends past the 24 hour period you will be charged an additional fee. For example, if you booked a stay starting Friday @ 8 am, and the stay ends on Sunday @ 10pm, there will be an additional charge for Sunday 8am-10pm. Please note: House Sitting rates listed in my profile are not continuous care. This means that there will be times when I leave the home for a few of hours at a time. If your pets require continuous care, meaning you need me at the residence 18-24 hours a day, you will have a different price is to be determined upon request. House Sitting DOES include overnight care, every night of the stay for your pet if you desire no additional charge. This has always been my policy, and my standard. The only time overnight care is not included is when the client specifically makes a request that they would not like overnight care. Please note: If you cancel a booked reservation with less than 7 days to the stay, you will only receive 50% refund.

Autumn did an amazing job with my dog. I recently adopted a mixed breed from the shelter and he has been slowly adjusting to the household routines. When I had to go out of town on business Autumn took care of Bear for me. The dog loved being with her and was in a comfortable environment while I was out. Can't recommend Autumn enough for dogsitting.

Safety, trust & environment

I am an outcall sitter. This means all the services I offer are in the clients’ homes. When we have our Meet and Greet, I will ask you about the safety features of your home to get myself familiar with them. I will also ask about your pets tendencies to get an idea of potential areas for problems. (Are they an escape artist? Do they like to pull when walking on a leash? Things like this that would help me) I also like to check leashes for stability or possible tears. I always have back up leashes in my bag with me just in case. I also tend to pack a few extra in my bag, but I tend to adjust these to the client specifically.

Information Autumn S. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences, all dogs are great!! Information I would like before booking would be their behaviors (do they get food aggressive, are they extra protective of a certain toy, do they have any personality quirks I should know about, are they nervous or anxious, are they excited easily?) None of these things are issues for me to handle, but being prepared helps everyone! Also if you’re pets need medication administered during care, please let me know so I can be well informed and uphold medications routines! All these things help me to provide the best care for you pet!

A typical day

A typical day for me is following your directions. I do my best to keep your pets in their routine while your away. I have found keeping the same routine can really help with separation anxiety, as it helps the animals keep a familiar feel even though I may not be a familiar person. I think this really make it easy on the emotions and tensions of the animal(s), and that is my biggest goal. I have also found this makes it so easy for them to get back on schedule when you arrive home! This is why during our Meet and Greet I will ask you what their schedule is, and be taking notes. I will want to keep this up for them to keep a steady stable day for them.

I am 1000% adaptable to the needs of my clients. I can come at any time necessary, given the proper notice and scheduling. I am available for house sitting, dog walking, and drop in visits. I also offer a couple other services such as Hourly services, bathing, and some other odd jobs related to pets. For information about those please send a message for more information! If you need an appointment or booking before 8AM or After 9PM, it is highly advised you book at least a week in advance. This give you the best chance of securing your time spot. I try my best to accommodate everyone within my ability. I can not hold spot however. This means that until a booking or appointment is booked through rover and paid, the dates are NOT confirmed for any client. The dates and times are only reserved once the appointment has been booked.
