I’ve volunteered for 3 adoption agencies for animals in Canada which required in home sitting, training and matching a person's personality with a dogs. I have also done drop-in and overnight sitting during my years in college through 4 completed programs in which I started as a police officer to a nurse. I absolutely love all animals and some reptiles. I hope to change my career path again into the veterinary field once my smallest child is in school because I just can’t get enough. I relocated to America 5 years ago with my family and two Aussies (1 now deceased). I have been a stay at home mom since. Any chance I get to be outside, is where I will be. I enjoy hikes and walks all year round and in most weather conditions. I walk a couple of times weekly in Dimple Dell Park. I will take your with me if I know they can handle it and I can walk them. Your dogs packing list may consist of these items: • Leash • Walking collar or harness • Kennel/crate • Dog food & bowls • Bed or blanket • Any toys or treats they like (I also have a dog so we do have plenty of toys here)

Autumn has been the most wonderful dog walker/sitter! I am disabled and struggle to take my service dog in long walks so I decided to supplement her activity at home with a few walks a week and I can’t even express how wonderful Autumn has been with helping me out. She is always on time, incredibly kind, and sent the most wonderful pictures while I was away on a trip and had to leave my dog behind. She has been such an asset to our lives, I would recommend her to anyone and everyone at this point!

Autumn and her family took EXCELLENT care of my girl Applesauce. I had to book her pretty last minute but since she walks Apples a few times a week I knew she’d be a wonderful person to board her. I got sent so many wonderful pictures, regular updates, and I could just tell her and her family loved on my dog so much and made Applesauce feel completely comfortable. Truly could not recommend her highly enough!
Autumn is the best! She’s so good with my dog and takes the best care of him. Milo loves his walks with her!

I have a gate blocking my front door so it can be open and the dogs are still safe behind it. I also have a spare gate that can separate an area if need be. My dog is crate trained. I have two extra medium crates for other dogs to use. If you do not wish to bring yours just give me a heads up. I have used a variety of walking harnesses, leashes and tools. I am advanced in understanding a dogs body language and behaviors but still always learning. I am fully capable of managing a sick/injured/recovering pet as well. That may be medication, rehab massage/stretching or monitoring. During my days with the adoption agency, myself and another were vaccinating, naming and charting all animals coming in. I do have a vehicle that fits a crate and also a dog seat belt to get to and from a walking area.

Please share with me your routine and I will do my best to help your dog adapt to ours. Most stays are generally alike. Every stay MUST be good with children. If you are on the fence I will require a muzzle or know the triggers. My kids love to be involved with the care so they like to help in basic training. This is asking your dog to do simple tricks for treats; sit, roll over and stay. •I do not accept a dog that marks in the house or is not trained to go outside for washroom breaks (young puppies are the exception). If your dog is marking in the home, you will be notified, they can continue their stay until the end of requested time but I will not approve another stay•
A typical day
I walk in Dimple dell park and expanding to my area as my child is in school. I really enjoy seeking out places that will provide dogs with enrichment. I also like providing basic training while I walk. It’s just habit. Trails are meant to explore and sniff yet sidewalks and populated areas need a more focused dog that will be beside me and listening. Which ever you prefer I will find a place near by. A walk consists of actual walking time. I do not include the drive time to get to the place. That time is on me! If you book at 10-1030; that is the time I will walk. We are not the perfectly clean home, I do have small kids and they can be tornados of mess making. A crayon may be eaten. I do my best to keep all children's toys behind a gate upstairs. Any dog toys I have are stuffing free and durable. We take lots of photos and provide a full description of the days shenanigans.

Availability
I am looking to fill my day with sitting and walks while my kids are in school. I will have a tag along at times. Your dog will be with me and my small kids all day. At the end of every appointment, I will load you with photos and a detailed summery of the stay. Please let me know if you like the photos to come in all together or through out the day. I take a lot! If it is a day care visit, I will keep you informed throughout the day. I do my best to keep your dogs routines the same as any other day.
