aspiring vet tech

Pet care experience

I have 5+ years of experience handling multiple pets at once for other people, and growing up I’ve always had at least one pet of my own to care for. I currently have 5 cats, and 4 chickens. I am currently attending school to become a veterinary technician at Vet Tech Institute. I have lots of experience with seniors and special needs dogs. My last dog was paralyzed from the waist down, so I know how to change doggie diapers and administer oral medication. I also am very thorough when it comes to cleaning up messes.

This is the second time we’ve booked Autumn for drop-ins for our cat and always appreciate the pictures and updates, knowing our cat is well taken care of while we’re away!

Autumn took such great care of our 16 year old cat and 13 year old mini dachshund. She was so sweet to them and took great care of them as if they were her own. She was great at communicating to us about them as well and took great pictures of them at updates! Highly recommend and will be using her again!!

I have had Autumn check up on my two kitties multiple times and I couldn’t recommend her enough! She sends pictures, videos, and keeps me updated on medications/feedings. She is responsible, very communicative, and seems to always be available when I ask her to check in! Thanks Autumn!

Autumn is amazing! She is kind, patient, gave us great updates on our 3 cats. Our one cat is really spicy; he hates everything and everyone, but he loved Autumn. We are still in shock he was pouring AND letting her pet him. Took me 3 years to get to that point with him. She was also great about giving our senior cat his medication and his wet food. She sent us pictures of the old man playing! We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

Safety, trust & environment

It’s important to me that both you and your pet trust me, so meeting up ahead of time is preferable so that I’m not a total stranger when I come visit for the first time. This also allows you to get a feel for my personality and determine whether you’re comfortable allowing me to care for your pet.

Information Autumn D. would like to know about your pet

Basic things I would like to know are what time/ how much I should feed your pet, and how often they require to be let out. If they have any special medication, their favorite toys, and whether I should put them in a cage for bedtime. I'd also like to be informed of where the cleaning supplies are in case they happen to make a mess!

A typical day

We'll go on plenty of walks to make sure your pet doesn't have anxious energy while their parents are away. I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, catch, and cuddle time. If they know any special tricks, I'd love to reward them with a treat, and if they get tired, we can sit on the floor and just chill while we listen to music.

I work a part time job in retail, mostly evenings and weekends. I am relatively flexible, but would prefer to stay within 5 miles of where I live.
