I grew up in an agricultural household - our pets are our family. I can handle basic first aid and dietary instructions. I understand that your rules and boundaries are important. No people food? You got it. It's important for your pets to be able to have a tv on while we're away? I get that too. One of the reasons we don't take many extended vacations in our house is because we know just how difficult it can be finding someone who will watch our animals and take our wants for them seriously. We understand when you're looking for a sitter, even if it's just overnight, that knowing your dog is in the hands of people who will comfort them when it's storming, snuggle with them before bed, or understand that maybe they like to eat in privacy. We are also adamant about our kids behavior around pets - They are not left unsupervised, have been taught healthy respect from a young age, and even so much as an excited rough pat is not acceptable. We want you to know that your dogs will be part of our home for however long their stay is. We also want to make sure that all our potential clients know that our home is a working household. With 2 kids, and Rover dogs coming for visits, our home is not spotless. We have dust bunnies and sometimes our kitchen isn't in 5 star condition (much to our dismay!). Our yard is a bit of a jungle, but when our four legged friends are playing, they don't seem to mind. We work, we have school, but our pets, and yours, if you decide to let them stay with us, are part of our family and get all the love and attention we can provide. Thanks for considering us!
