Auston is the Former Owner The Paw Place in Grandville, MI. She sold her business due to back surgery and relocated to Baldwin, MI with her animal loving husband. They have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 chickens and a comically tiny rooster named Russell Crow. Baby chicks coming this Spring. 🐥 The Paw Place December 2005 – October 2023 Sole proprietorship in which Auston was responsible for upwards of 30 dogs per day and 5 or more employees. Services provided were dog daycare, dog walking, in home boarding and training as well as dog grooming. We offer 1 on 1 obedience training and will formulate a training plan that works for you and your family, not a 1 size fits all training! Any size dog! Any time! Please have your dog on flea/tick/heart worm preventions. We have woods completely surrounding our home in all directions. Rabies, Distemper vaccines also a must for health, safety and the amount if wild animas that could potentially be around our home! Safety 1st! We have 6+ PAWsome acres, and we are currently working hard on fencing a huge portion of it in for lots of DOGGONE fun.

Auston owned and operated a successful dog day care in Grandville Michigan. Our dog Gus was under her daily care for 2 years. In the two years, Gus was cared for, trained, played with, nurtured, socialized and most importantly loved on. We lovingly called her Auntie Auston as Gus would bounce with excitement getting dropped off at day care. Auston is kind, gentle, and so incredibly knowledgeable on all things dog. Auston is a responsible and loving pet caregiver.
Auston has been a good friend of our summer camp for blind and low vision children. She often brought dogs that she was caring for to visit our kids - sometimes with their owners and sometimes their owners let her bring their dog without them. Auston has a special place in her heart for dogs and kids, and she is AWESOME! She has as much energy as any Aussie I've ever owned, and she is always up for a play session! I know Auston through her business, The Paw Place, a daycare provider for dogs in Grandville, MI. I was looking for such a place for my pit mix, Ruby, so she could become socialized with other dogs. She helped me with her training and guided me on how to handle such a dog. The Paw Place was always full of dogs playing and socializing and just dogging! There was very little barking from all of them and they all seemed to enjoy being there. Auston is very knowledgeable in all breeds and how dogs should be treated. In turn, the dogs all seemed to respect her and showed her lots of love as well. I always felt my dogs were in a safe place when not home with me. She cares for them all as if her own.
Auston is not only knowledgeable about dogs, she is caring and compassionate as well. Auston has help my pet's through the years from grooming my big bully dogs to advice on their proper care. She is excellent in understanding their needs. From training to health care. Trusting Auston and John with the care of my pet's, I can enjoy myself knowing they are receiving the best care.

A typical day
?Lots of play with other dogs IF your dog is dog-friendly. ?Meet and greet (from a distance) with our chickens! ? Sniffari (a fun walk around our 6 wooded acres getting in ALL the sniffs!) ?Toy/treat/sensory enrichment ?Obedience practice if requested. ?We also love to swim, kayak and bike with dogs. We can meet ANY dogs exercise requirements and even have a mini agility course! ?We are also perfectly happy to stay in and snuggle with ALL the dogs while we watch a movie or a favorite show.

We are flexible and open to all days and times of the week for a check in, medication help or for an epic adventure like hiking @ Ludington State Park! All ages and sizes of dogs welcome :) Please have age appropriate vaccines for puppies.
