TL;DR Host was responsive and sent pictures, but home is questionable and under renovations. Pros and cons at the end. My wife and I left my service dog in training so he could have a break from working for a couple hours while we went to the aquarium. As soon as we pulled up, it was a little concerning that there were piles of construction debris in the front yard and on the porch. Austin just told us to meet him at the side gate. We let my dog run around for a minute or two, then he released the dogs from the home (his 4 and 1 over night guest) one by one. This was appreciated, but his dogs were... very over bearing. I'm used to Ozzie warming up much quicker at dog parks and when we had used rover before, but I think he could tell we were about to leave, so that was understandable. During the stay we got pictures and a video, which was good, getting to see he wasn't too stressed. He was given the chance to try a kiddie pool, but he was not a fan of apparently. Over all, I am pretty sure my dog was safe, but I know he isn't one to get into anything or try to escape. There was at least 1 sizeable hole in the fence (which was blocked with a trash can), and the yard and play room needed to be picked up for sure. My dog attacked water like he hasn't seen it in hours. Host said there were multiple water bowls available, so it may just be my dog wasn't comfortable enough to drink? Pros: responsive, friendly host, sent videos and pictures, was available last minute, has large yard, Cons: unkept area for dogs, house is not in good shape to be housing dogs, many things for a mischievous dog to get into.
