Pet care experience
I love all kinds of animals but I deeply enjoy dogs. Some of their characteristics that I appreciate are their loyalty, friendliness and companionship. My first dog, Scooter, helped me learn to walk. This inspired my love of dogs. As a kid I was involved in 4-H, which allowed me the opportunity to raise a Seeing-Eye Dog, named Dixie. She was my first challenging dog. I had to teach her a routine and many commands while also caring for my mischievous dogs named Sandy and Goldie. Sandy was a high anxiety dog whose issue was caused by a sty in her eye. Her anxiety gave her mistrust and aggressive tendencies. With that said, she was still a very sweet, family dog. After her eye surgery her anxiety turned to fear and separation anxiety. This is where Goldie came into the picture. She became a mother-figure to Sandy and the two became inseparable. I believe that caring for these dogs has helped me be a better dog owner, which in turn makes me a trust-worthy, reliable sitter.
Reviews
Austin has always had one or more pet in his life and saved 2 of their lives especially with his love an attention. He is very attentive and good with pets with special needs also.
Austin is a very caring and responsible person who has always had pet's of his own. He has taken care of puppies as young as 6 weeks by bottle feeding them until they were weaned. He has a Labordoodle as a companion now Dash is totally devoted to him, and responsive to him. Dogs seem to gravitate to him.
