The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs.

Austin was really great. This was our first time using him overnight but our guys did so great with him. He took care of our house and offered the boys plenty of attention/exercise. We are always hesitant to vacation because we can’t take them most times but Austin made our decision a positive one. He left the house clean. Was respectful. And kept us updated with photos or video on our furbabies. We will definitely be using him again. Highly recommend. Thank you again Austin. You were fantastic
We are so grateful for Austin’s taking care of our Doberman Fred. From the very beginning Austin was super responsive, came over to meet our dog to make sure they are a right match. Afterwards Austin returned to observe Fred’s habits couple more times and to walk him with me. During our 1 week trip he remained in contact with us with frequent updates, helping us with our separation anxiety. The dog and the house were in one piece upon our return (even with some treats left for Fred and us, along with a sweet note ). We would recommend Austin to any dog owner wanting to have a peace of mind during their absence and looking forward to having him over dog sitting again in the future.
Austin was great! He was really cool with us essentially setting up two meet and greets before the big day! He keeps our boys active and updates us throughout the day. He is quick to communicate and is flexible with his schedule which is something we really appreciate. We will be contacting him again.
Nothing but great things to say about Austin! We have been looking for someone to watch our 2 dogs for a while. We used to use family or friends but wanted someone outside our circle to be able to rely on and we found that with Austin. Our 1 dog has a gamete of health issues and daily medication that is administered, and Austin navigated it without any hesitation. We came back home to a clean house, washed blankets and healthy, happy dogs. We are so lucky to have found Austin and highly recommend him. Thank you SO much Austin!

To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.

I would like to know their tendencies, are they prone to running off?, Can they be let off the leash at all?, Are they aggressive with other dogs?, Are they friendly with other people? What is their preferred way to play? (catch, tug of war, etc.) Just so I know what avoid and make sure the dog and community are safe. I have no breed preferences however.
A typical day
I would generally probably take them to a local park, but would also switch it up and take them on new routes. But it would also depend on the dog, for example if the dog loved to play catch then I think the park would be a good place to keep going to.

I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week.
