I am a 36 year old temporarily out of work pilot who really misses going for walks with my dog. I got my dog, Remi, (a German Shepherd mix) in 2005 as a puppy and raised her myself through her puppy, adult, and senior years. When she was a puppy, I read up on how to train German Shepherds and trained her myself. As a senior, she had numerous medical ailments and required lots of special needs during the last 2-3 years of her life. As a result, I think I am capable of caring for dogs of any age or size as I went through it beginning to end with my Remi.. Unfortunately, she passed away May 30, 2019.. I miss her greatly but am now at the point where I can emotionally handle being around dogs again. As I mentioned, if your dog is a puppy, I could help instill good walking habits that will make walking them more pleasurable for you in the future. If you dog is a healthy young adult, I will tailor the walk so they get maximum exercise out of it. Or If your dog is a senior, I will let them take the lead and go at their own pace (towards the last few months of my dogs life, she preferred just sitting and people watching for the majority of her walks). I am a pilot that was affected by the covid-19 pandemic. Until the airline industry is back up on it's feet, I find myself with tons of time on my hands and would love to fill some of it by walking dogs in the area. I live in Brickell and can provide dog walking services for those in the Brickell and downtown area. As a 220 lb male who routinely works out, I am comfortable walking dogs of any size, weight or breed. I live in a condo in the middle of Brickell. Therefore, I unfortunately can not provide a fenced in yard or anything like that. Also, due to the covid situation, my wife is not comfortable taking in dogs into our apartment. For now, my services are limited to going for walks. However, once I get to know your dog, I would gladly consider taking care of them in my home if the need arises.
