Pet care experience
I've cared for pets of my own, pets of family members, pets of coworkers, and pets of friends since I was in my teens. I now care for/have cared for several pups in the NEO area, one of my clients being two lovely pups I see/walk every weekday (I met them off Rover through a local group, so their services are not through this app)! I have a dog myself, and training him/exploring the world with him is one of my favorite things to do. You will often see us out training and exploring in CVNP! I go the extra mile to learn what I can about training and handling, and enjoy attending hours long webinars in my free time. We're currently learning how to "tattle" on wildlife and dogs when we're out walking! I've trained a really good recall, all basic commands, and have great management skills when it comes to excitability, especially when seeing other dogs.

Augusta takes special care to all animals. She pays great attention to detail and continuously keeps up her education on what an animal may need. She will provide love and admiration to your pet, and will be highly communicative. Not only this but she has experience with dogs, body language, and behavior. She is GREAT!
Augusta is the most safety-conscious dog owner I know! She would treat any dog as if it were her own, and she loves her little guy!

I use positive reinforcement/a gentle approach to asking dogs to do what I'd like them to do! With my own dog, I've taught him what is expected of him, and always rework how I teach him things when he does not understand. I am very patient, and just love working through the process with dogs when it comes to walking or training!

Knowing whether your dog has any environmental triggers, like seeing other dogs, people, or wildlife, or any behaviors you would like to work on with them is most helpful! I want to ensure your dog is as comfortable as possible with me and their environment.
A typical day
I love interacting with dogs through play and fun games while out and about! I like to use a dog-lead approach to walking, and encourage exploration and lots of sniffing, as it's amazing mental stimulation for them. I will often use sniffing as a reward, too! And depending on your dog's needs for training or stimulation, I can focus on different things on any given walk. I'm happy to use my own long-line if you want to work on recall training, exploring large areas, or do a more traditional walk to work on loose leash walking. Whatever is best for your dog!

Availability
My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am available after work hours or during my lunch hour to care for your animals! My daily routine typically consists of 2-3 walks.
