The Dog Exhauster

Pet care experience

I'm Audrey, your trusted dog whisperer specializing in exhausting high energy neurotic dogs. With 14 years of experience, thousands of miles of dog adventures, and hundreds of happy tails under my belt, I'm here to provide top-notch care to your beloved pets. Check out our adventures on Instagram @thedogexhauster ——— SERVICES ——— • Short Walk / Potty Break: Stop by for a short visit to let your dog walk (or run along the unicycle) around the block, use the restroom, and refresh their water and food. • Exercise to Exhaustion: Activities include long distance pack walks on leash (must get along with other dogs and be polite on the leash), off leash hiking on the trail (must have good recall), or high speed running alongside my electric unicycle which can keep up with dogs who just need to sprint long and hard (great for dogs who do not have polite leash manners). • Overnight Boarding: Your dog will be treated as one of our own here in our home where they are allowed to free roam and lounge on the furniture. Every day they will get exercise, mental stimulation with training and games, and a deep tissue massage and plenty of attention. Our resident senior dog Callie will be here to show them the ropes. We allow up to 2 or 3 guest dogs per day. Must be vaccinated, potty trained, get along with other dogs, generally well behaved. Dogs with behavioral issues and puppies are subject to additional rates.

Information Audrey C. would like to know about your pet

I will ask you to please fill out an intake form where I will gather all the information I’ll need to know about your dog’s needs, temperament, and quirks.

A typical day

I work part time from home and spend the majority of my day interacting with the dogs in some way. We play lots of games when indoors: hide and seek, find the treats, tug, various games with the ball, lots of puzzles and problem solving, light rough housing, etc. Of course the dogs get tons of affection as well, including slow deep tissue massages which I think are most dog's favorite activity. We live right at the entrance to a hiking trail, so every potty break is a half-mile hike through a beautiful nature preserve. For higher energy dogs who love to sprint, I let them set the pace as they run alongside me on my electric unicycle. We'll hit the Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail and sometimes include a stop at the dog park. I try to make any dog's stay here like the best vacation of their life.

————— Working with dogs is my full time job and therefore primary focus. The dogs in my care receive my undivided attention during activities. When boarding in my home they are treated like family and get to participate in the daily routine. It is rare when dogs are left unattended, usually just for errands or social events.
