Stay at The Pupper West Side Palace
Pet care experience
As the writer and creator of the @pupper_west_side_uws Instagram account and weekly "Pupper West Side" column in the West Side Rag, I am delighted to welcome your pup to my sunny apartment located less than half a block from Central Park in the heart of the Upper West Side. After 15.5 years of a long and exciting life, our pup Manny (known throughout the neighborhood as Mr. Pupper West Side) passed away. As I take a hiatus from dog ownership, I want to continue engaging with our neighborhood pups and pup parents by offering boarding and playdates to our beloved local dog community. I grew up with pets and have extensive experience taking care of dogs of a variety of ages and abilities, including senior and special needs pups. In past years, I have fostered for Animal Lighthouse Rescue and provided dog-sitting for family and friends. Remote work and living half a block from Central Park means your pup is guaranteed to have a fantastic stay. We live in a secure, doorman, dog-friendly, elevator building in a sunny apartment with a large window perch for pups who might enjoy looking out at the neighborhood.
Reviews
Audrey was nothing short of amazing caring for Mabel. She provided constant updates and pictures and when Mabel experienced an upset stomach she even made homemade chicken and rice for her!
Audrey was fantastic. She took excellent care of my small poodle. Highly recommend!
Just worth it to have your dog feel like a member of the family. Such a loving place.
Stevie had a great stay with Audrey as always! Going on vacation is stress free because I know that Stevie is at her “second home” 😊

Safety, trust & environment
I only accept one dog at a time (or a pair that live together), so your pup(s) will receive our complete devotion, spoiling, and attention (pets, head scratches, treats, and snuggles) while staying with us. In order to ensure your pup's safety and to give you peace of mind, dogs being babysat by me will always remain on leash outside of the apartment. I do not take pups to local dog parks or let them roam off leash while they are in my care in order to ensure their health, comfort, and safety at all times.

Information Audrey C. would like to know about your pet
What is your pup's daily routine and feeding/bathroom break schedule? Does he/she have any special needs in order to ensure his/her comfort? Does he/she have separation anxiety? Does he/she demonstrate aggressive/reactive behavior on leash? Does he/she get along with other dogs, children, men, etc?
A typical day
Mornings begin with a bathroom break followed by coffee (for me) and some breakfast for your pup. We'll chat about our plans for the day as we enjoy a cappuccino and a hearty bowl of dog food. Then it's time to greet the day and get fresh air with a morning walk through Central Park. We'll see cherry blossoms alongside the Reservoir; spot local wildlife in The Ramble, and peruse the farm fresh produce at the 79th Street Greenmarket. Later on, your pup can keep me company while I'm preparing items for dinner or baking a dessert to share with friends. As we wind down the day, we'll take a relaxed evening walk in Central Park and then return to snuggle up together on the couch to enjoy a movie or book.

Availability
As a long-time former dog owner, I am an early riser and an avid walker. In addition to long walks (or jogs, if your energetic pup needs some extra exercise) in Central Park, he or she is welcome to join me on my daily strolls around the neighborhood to dog-friendly stores and establishments.
