Pet care experience
I've been in contact with dogs as long as I've been walking and talking. My parents always had a pack of 4 running around the house and my brothers and I were frequently helping out with feeding, walking, etc. I used to spend a lot of my weekends with my mom’s poodle, trimming his unruly coat! I also have owned rats, fish and cats, and am comfortable caring for them, as well as birds. Just let me know if you have a smaller critter that needs some care! I have experience with farm animals such as horses and chickens, and am happy to watch goats, cows, you name it!!

Reviews

Our dog Charlie is very shy and takes time to warm up to people. He loves Atlas. We know he is very well taken care of while we are gone. Our flight was delayed and she came back the next day to take care of him until we got home. She even cleaned up before she left. We are so grateful for her!

Atlas was great! Our dog and cats accepted her immediately. She even cared for our hens and ducks. She communicated well with email updates when we were away. I’d recommend her most highly!

I’m overwhelmingly pleased with the care Atlas took with our dogs while we were away. She responds quickly to messages and is proactive in sharing information and asking questions. And she was pleasant to interact with! I would ask her to watch our dogs again in a heartbeat!

Atlas was fantastic! Great communication, took very good care of our two kitties, home, and plants while we were away. Highly recommend!

I clicker train my dog, Artemis, my service dog, and have mini training sessions everyday with her. I'm more than happy to include your dog if you let me know what you'd like to work on. I also have experience with reactive dogs, as my late mastiff mix came into my care with an extreme case of stranger reactivity that I managed. So if your pup is timid or shy, I will for sure still take them on and give them the best experience catering to their specific fears. I know owning a reactive dog can be isolating and stressful. Let me take some of that stress away by being understanding of your pups and their needs! I’m more than happy to arrange meet and greets to discuss fido’s specific needs, and let them get used to my presence. Understanding and listening is important in managing reactivity, and I’m more than happy to be that person!
Information Atlas B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any reactivity issues. I can accommodate reactive dogs, however I need to know ahead of time. Especially if they are dog reactive as my service dog in training is attached at my hip most days. Knowing ahead of time will help me create a game plan that ensures everyone is comfortable and safe! I’m happy to bring Artemis along with me to bookings, or she can chill with my partner for the duration. Up to you! You and your pet’s comfort are my top priority.
A typical day
I'm a big fan of going on long hikes or to the beaches in the area. I'm always equipped with water, treats and long line leashes to ensure pups stay hydrated and safe. For dogs that prefer to be couch potatoes, I’m more than happy to cozy up with netflix inside!

Availability
My Service Dog in Training, Artemis, and I are currently travelling across the US together! We’re currently home in Maine again and offering services all over! I’m available any day of the week, all hours of the day to hang out with your pet :) I work a hybrid job as a peer support partner that’s mainly remote, so you can rest well knowing they won’t be spending long hours alone.
