I have been a volunteer at El Paso Animal Services for 2 years now, which has allowed me to gain experience in working with all types of dogs of different breeds and sizes. I’ve worked with friendly dogs, dogs who are terrified, and aggressive dogs at the shelter. I also have basic knowledge of clicker training, and dog body language.

Athena is very hard working and gives her best to every task. She gives a lot of effort to everything in her life, but especially dogs. She is very devoted to her own dog and puts a lot of time into making sure that he is living the best life her can and she gives him more than enough love, activity and enrichment. Even though she has a lot of love for her own dog, she has more than enough love for other dogs and loves spend time with some more pup. She cares a lot about dogs and is very responsible and loving towards all dog types.
Athena is caring and gentle when taking care of pets. She treats them like her own and will go out of her way to make your baby feel special and loved. I will be recommending her to all my family and friends.
Hello, Athena is a highly motivated pet care worker I cannot recommend her enough! I have seen how discipline and of a daily routine she is with her dog and with other dogs she has taken care of. I always strive to make sure I never put a dog in a situation where they aren’t comfortable, especially on walks where some objects and people can be scary for a dog, depending on their level of socialization. I’m always keeping an eye on the dog and their body language to ensure they are having a good time. I always have fresh water and a bowl provided in case your dog needs a drink. Especially in these hot summer days. Treats may also be included depending on the owners approval.

Information I would like to know ahead of time about your dog is whether or not they are socialized with other dogs, and people. As well as if they are allergic to any type of food, and any behavioral characteristics you would like me to know about.
A typical day
As someone who is an avid runner and weightlifter, I will make sure your dog gets the exercise it needs. I enjoy walking and running with dogs throughout my neighborhood, or by the park nearby my home. I also love to provide stimulation in the form of stuffed kongs and frozen treats, especially on days where it is too hot to go outside. On occasion I do enjoy doing positive reinforcement training with dogs.

I’m currently attending El Paso Community College, where I am taking night courses. I am available all throughout the week from Mon-Fri from 7am - 3pm. I am also available Sundays at any time.
