Pet care experience
I have dreamed of always having a dog! I had one when I was 10, and it was a dream come true. When we moved to Norway, we had to leave him behind with family. Meanwhile I spent time with my friends’ pets, taking care of them for short periods of time. But recently after 10 years, my dream came true and my family got a small retriever puppy! I had the honor of taking care of it the first two weeks in Oslo, and later brought it to my family in Stavanger 🤍 taking care of my puppy made me realize just how much I love caregiving, even when the job is hard. My puppy gets a bad stomach whenever he is nervous. And in the first week, the poor baby’s stomach was at its worst. Nursing him back to health was so fulfilling for me. Moreover, I feel that I am very sensitive to animals’ needs. From bathing, to walking, feeding, and training, I enjoy everything that has to do with taking care of animals. I have taken care of dogs, cats, and even birds.

Atashi is a gem of a dog sitter! She arrives on time, is super easy to communicate with and takes great care of our dog, and sends pictures! I could tell they had a lot of fun together. I will definitely book Atashi again ?

I am always alert about your pet’s whereabouts, and I try to always understand what your pet would want or need. I am very affectionate and warm, and have never had anything short of warm and positive encounters with animals. I am also aware of food and other substances lying around that could be hazardous to your pet, and constantly search up to learn more about what is safe or not to eat for your pet. I am good at following routines that have been set for your animal (specifically in the case of dogs).

Let me know any special needs your dog may have. I am a quick learner, so learning specific habits that are important to them, or specific routines they need to follow, will be a quick process. If there are any medical issues I need to be aware of, it would be great to know about them too, so that I can prepare ahead of time ?
A typical day
Depending on the dog's preferences, I can be a big cuddler, or just a companion in the room. I love taking dogs on walks, laying around in the sun, exploring parks, etc. I enjoy keeping them mentally active too by playing lots of different games!

Availability
I am a full-time student. I study psychology (profesjonsstudium), and I have found that the class schedules are very lenient, however the reading is heavy. Hence a lot of my time is spent at home reading rather than being at university. Out of 5 days a week, I am at school usually up to 6 hours total. The rest is spent studying at home. Hence, taking care of your pet during the weekday will be quite easy to fit in to my schedule. Moreover, I work as a part-time barista every other weekend. Hence half of my weekends are free as well, for caring for your pet.
